Job Summary
The Accounting Clerk will be responsible for corresponding with customers and internal team members, following up on outstanding payments and resolving billing-related issues. The individual for this role must possess excellent customer service skills and computer skills
Essential Functions
- Post cash daily, record deposits and process credit card transactions
- Email invoices and generate account statements
- Research account discrepancies and respond to customer inquiries, email/phone
- Maintain the AR aging and contact customers that are delinquent for assigned accounts
- Research chargeback disputes and process credits
- Provide ad hoc support to other team members on a variety of projects and tasks

- Ability to multitask without compromising the accuracy of the work
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and problem-solving skills
- Must be self-motivated, take initiative and exercise sound judgment
- Detail oriented, organized and able to work as part of a team and independently
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel Word) and previous experience with NetSuite is ideal but not required
- Knowledge of EDI (Electronic Data Interchange)
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent. Preferred Qualifications: Associate's degree or some college coursework in accounting or a related field.
- 1+ year of experience in a clerical or accounting support role.
- Proven proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping procedures.
- Accurate and efficient data entry skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial information.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
