Job Summary

 

The Accounting Clerk will be responsible for corresponding with customers and internal team members, following up on outstanding payments and resolving billing-related issues.  The individual for this role must possess excellent customer service skills and computer skills

 

Essential Functions

 

  • Post cash daily, record deposits and process credit card transactions
  • Email invoices and generate account statements
  • Research account discrepancies and respond to customer inquiries, email/phone
  • Maintain the AR aging and contact customers that are delinquent for assigned accounts
  • Research chargeback disputes and process credits
  • Provide ad hoc support to other team members on a variety of projects and tasks

  • Ability to multitask without compromising the accuracy of the work
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and problem-solving skills
  • Must be self-motivated, take initiative and exercise sound judgment
  • Detail oriented, organized and able to work as part of a team and independently
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel Word) and previous experience with NetSuite is ideal but not required
  • Knowledge of EDI (Electronic Data Interchange)

 

 

Minimum Qualifications

 

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent. Preferred Qualifications: Associate's degree or some college coursework in accounting or a related field.
  • 1+ year of experience in a clerical or accounting support role.
  • Proven proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping procedures.
  • Accurate and efficient data entry skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial information.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
