Job Summary

 

The Financial Analyst will play a crucial role in analyzing financial reporting as well as transforming raw data into actionable insights, enabling the company to make informed decisions, identify trends, and improve operational efficiency. This position involves working with a Cloud ERP (NetSuite) as well as large datasets, conducting customer pricing analysis, supporting budget processes, and collaborating with various stakeholders to enhance financial decision-making.

 

Essential Functions

 

  • Create financial reporting and analysis of large data sets including, but not limited to, bookings, revenue, cost of sales, operating expenses, capital expenses, customer information, and other transactions to support business needs.
  • Support performing customer pricing analysis.
  • Participate in the preparation of the annual budget process
  • Track and analyze financial performance, prepare forecasts and present recommendations to business unit operators.
  • Build and maintain financial models, business case analysis, and create financial/management reporting to provide decision support.
  • Document current processes and routine practices while driving process improvements.
  • Create reports and streamline existing reports where appropriate.
  • Create ad hoc analytical reports and perform various other related duties as required with a focus on meeting deadlines and providing communication to management.
  • Special projects assigned by the Corporate Controller, FP&A, and the CFO.

 

 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

 

  • Ability to obtain, analyze, and translate complicated data or large datasets into actionable insights.
  • High aptitude for learning new skills and the willingness to tackle new challenges.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and advanced skills with Excel (pivot tables, lookups)
  • Experience working with Power Query in Excel, Power BI, Python/R, SQL
  • High standard of organization, accuracy, and precision.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment. Must be flexible, work independently with little supervision, able to multi-task, and work to deadlines.
  • Effective communication skills with strong written and verbal skills.

Minimum Qualifications

 

  • BA/BS degree in Business, Economics, Accounting, Finance, or in a quantitative field with finance and accounting courses.
  • 1+ years relevant experience in positions, internships, or coursework that required data processing, business performance analysis, and variance analysis.
