About The Role

As a Verifications Specialist, you will support our Production Department by researching, contacting and verifying previous employment and educational history of client candidates. You will follow processes in a professional and timely manner, adhering to guidelines from the Supervisor on the required productivity and quality of work. You will report to the Director of Production. Position is currently hybrid remote. In office attendance is required on Mondays and Wednesdays.

Duties

  • Timely and accurately data entry for all referencing clients
  • Utilize internal operating system to enter necessary information
  • Conduct personal and professional references interviews via phone and email
  • Conduct employment and education verification requests which includes contacting applicant's current/previous employer and/or educational institution to verify work/education history. This also requires utilizing databases when necessary.
  • Contacting previous employers within the transportation industry to complete drug and alcohol information verification requests.
  • Answer incoming client and applicant calls and emails and providing status reports, troubleshooting technical errors, and more.
  • Reviews gathered information and enters into proprietary system.
  • Develop a balance of speed that results in meeting daily production quotas.
  • Able to work in a tight team environment.
  • Be able to multi-task and help in other areas as needed by management.
  • Be able to handle complex concerns from the client and be able to resolve them in a professional, efficient and effective manner.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Ability to type 50+ wpm
  • Proficiency in completing tasks on a computer, which includes having a strong working knowledge of MS Outlook and Office Suite; Adobe Acrobat DC, Microsoft Excel
  • Proven ability to manage a large workload within tight time constraints and complete tasks in a timely manner
  • Ability to address problems and obtain solutions in dealing with both internal and external issues
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with a diverse population of staff
  • Proven ability to work independently
  • Proven written and verbal communication skills;
  • Exceptional customer service skills, over the phone and in person, with our customers, their applicants and internal departments
