Job Description Summary:

The Production Assistant provides administrative and studio support to the production team, interacting with all departments. We’re looking for someone energetic, pro-active, and friendly,  who is interested in gaining experience in visual effects or animation production.

 

Responsibilities:

·       Support the Production team in day to day activities, including errands and tasks, and be the go-to for general needs to the entire crew

·       Conference room & meeting set-up and troubleshooting

·       Meeting attendance, note-taking, and task follow-up as needed 

·       Assist Production with schedule and shot tracking using internal tools and processes

·       Assist Production with daily schedule communication re: dailies, meetings, etc.)

·       Ordering / Serving / Clean-up of working meals as needed for crew during week or weekend

·       Responsible for tracking the delivery and receipt of files shared between Alchemic, clients, and external vendors

·       Shipping and receiving of physical materials and drives; maintain careful logs

·       Assist Studio Manager as needed with office organization and maintenance

·       May be required to book travel and accommodations for show leadership or guests

 

Requirements:

·       Proficiency in Macs/PCs including Microsoft Word and Excel

·       Familiarity with Google Suite

·       General technical ability and knowledge of (or ability to learn) Windows and Mac-based programs for reviews with crew (dailies), clients, external vendors, and various meetings

·       Excellent organization skills, ability to prioritize multiple tasks under deadline pressure, attention to detail, and follow through

·       Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with diverse personalities

·       Some weekday overtime and some Saturday work required; ability to work overtime for extended periods of time

·       Majority of work is on computer; ability to work on a computer/keyboard for long periods of time

·       Valid Driver’s License and car for running studio errands

·       Ability to lift up to 60 pounds

 

Education / Experience:

·       One to two years of related experience preferred, but not required

·       Bachelor’s Degree in related field ideal but not required
