Overview

Native American Industrial Solutions (NAIS) is seeking a Technical Writer III to support the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) by developing, updating, and organizing cybersecurity and governance documentation. This role ensures that all Department-required materials are professionally written, clearly structured, and aligned with DEP standards.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of technical writing experience in IT or cybersecurity
  • Skills:
    • Strong writing, editing, and document-structuring skills
    • Experience developing security or technical documentation
    • Ability to translate technical information into clear written content
    • Excellent attention to detail and formatting standards

 

Responsibilities

  • Develop and edit security policies, procedures, and technical documentation.
  • Update system descriptions, classification reports, and governance materials.
  • Support development of data flow documentation based on system inputs and outputs.
  • Prepare updates to system security plans and related artifacts.
  • Maintain document version control and ensure consistency across all deliverables.
  • Incorporate Department feedback and prepare documents for review and approval.
