Overview
Native American Industrial Solutions (NAIS) is seeking a Technical Writer III to support the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) by developing, updating, and organizing cybersecurity and governance documentation. This role ensures that all Department-required materials are professionally written, clearly structured, and aligned with DEP standards.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of technical writing experience in IT or cybersecurity
- Skills:
- Strong writing, editing, and document-structuring skills
- Experience developing security or technical documentation
- Ability to translate technical information into clear written content
- Excellent attention to detail and formatting standards
Responsibilities
- Develop and edit security policies, procedures, and technical documentation.
- Update system descriptions, classification reports, and governance materials.
- Support development of data flow documentation based on system inputs and outputs.
- Prepare updates to system security plans and related artifacts.
- Maintain document version control and ensure consistency across all deliverables.
- Incorporate Department feedback and prepare documents for review and approval.
