Overview

Native American Industrial Solutions (NAIS) is seeking a Senior Information Assurance and Security Specialist to support the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) by leading the development, refinement, and maintenance of cybersecurity governance and security documentation. This position serves as the program’s technical subject matter expert ensuring all artifacts are accurate, aligned, and audit-ready.

 

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years in cybersecurity, information assurance, or governance
  • Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of security documentation, policies, and procedures
    • Ability to review and interpret technical system information
    • Experience preparing system descriptions, access guidance, and control documentation
    • Strong analytical and communication skills

 

Responsibilities

  • Review and update security policies, procedures, and governance documents.
  • Prepare and refine system descriptions, security plans, and access control guidance.
  • Support risk assessment updates by documenting findings and mitigation recommendations.
  • Analyze vulnerability scan results and update related documentation.
  • Review data flow and integration details to support accurate diagram updates.
  • Ensure security materials remain consistent across all program artifacts.
