Job Summary:

As a Social Media Specialist at Lalo, you will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing our social media strategy to drive brand awareness, engagement, and growth. You will be responsible for creating our content calendar, managing our online communities, optimizing our social media presence across various platforms, and sourcing and creating compelling content. This position requires a creative eye, a data-driven mind, and a customer-focused individual who has a deep understanding of brand voice, social media trends, and best practices.


Responsibilities:


Social Media Strategy and Analytics:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy to increase brand visibility, reach, and engagement.

  • Update and maintain Lalo’s content calendar across all organic social channels. 

  • Stay up-to-date with social media trends, tools, and best practices to drive innovation and continuous improvement.

  • Track, analyze, and report on social media performance metrics, providing actionable insights and recommendations to optimize campaigns and content strategies.


Community Management:

  • Leverage UGC, influencers, and brand advocates to enhance our online presence and user engagement.

  • Monitor, engage, and respond to comments, questions, and messages on social media channels in a timely manner while maintaining brand voice

  • Foster positive and authentic interactions with our audience, build relationships, and address customer inquiries or concerns effectively.



Content Sourcing and Creation:

  • Source content from influencers, content creators, and the internal creative team to create a comprehensive content calendar.

  • Create engaging content, including but not limited to posts, videos, images, and stories, for various social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, TikTok, Threads).

  • Collaborate with the marketing and creative teams to ensure content is on brand and optimized for each platform.

  • Work with the influencer team to identify creators to help augment the brand owned content.


Cross-functional Collaboration:

  • Collaborate closely with the marketing, design, and product teams to align social media initiatives with broader marketing campaigns and product launches.

  • Work with the customer support team to address customer inquiries and provide a seamless social media experience.


Qualifications and Experience:


  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field (preferred).

  • Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in social media management, preferably in a fast-paced environment.

  • Demonstrable experience in content creation, copywriting, and social media community management.

  • Proficient in using social media management and design tools (e.g., Figma, Canva, Airtable, Later) and social media analytics platforms.

  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, algorithms, and emerging trends.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a keen eye for detail.

  • Creative mindset with a proven ability to develop and execute engaging content strategies.

  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and metrics to inform decision-making.

  • Experience in e-commerce or consumer-focused industries is a plus.
