Position Summary

The Development & Marketing Associate will play an important role in advancing a wide range of development activities in support of our $2 million annual revenue target. The primary areas of focus will be prospect research, providing grant support, creating impact reports, managing our donor database in Salesforce, supporting our social media, website, and email marketing strategies.


Position Responsibilities:

·         Manage Salesforce Database to keep records up to date and ensure accuracy

·         Run reports in Salesforce as needed

·         Research Foundation and Corporate Funders

·         Draft Letters of Inquiry for Foundations and Corporate Funders

·         Write high quality donor appreciation letters

·         Identify new major gift prospects through events and programs

·         Prepare sponsorship materials for large events

·         Prepare Data for Grant Reports

·         Help with annual appeal mailings and social media fundraising campaigns

·         Create content for Interise social media channels – Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter

·         Assist Marketing Manager with updating the website

·         Support Development & Systems Manager and Marketing Manager

·         Consistent use of Interise systems and procedures, including Salesforce

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys putting the team first while working hard alongside accomplished and passionate teammates. This position requires superior communication and social skills, marketing, and database management skills (Salesforce experience preferred) as well as an ability to manage multiple projects at once. Successful candidates will have completed a degree from a 4-year college and have 1 to 3 years of professional work experience.


Position Qualifications:

·         BA/BS or equivalent experience required

·         One to Three years of work experience in development and communications

·         Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

·         Experience with Salesforce

·         Strong research skills

·         Excellent project management skills and attention to detail

·         Passion for mission of Interise

·         Some event management experience

·         Other computer skills desired include Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, Excel, PPT etc.

·         Commitment to strict confidentiality of donor information

·         Energetic, enthusiastic, with a good sense of humor

·         Demonstrated commitment to and respect for diversity in all its forms
