SUMMARY:

We are looking for top talent for this new role at Aspen Neuroscience. The LIMS Engineer will be responsible for implementing a LIMS and ELN system to support Clinical, R&D, Bioinformatics, and related groups to provide a company-wide data sharing and record keeping environment. This position will report directly to the Director of Bioinformatics and will help us to build our processes and systems to bring a cutting edge autologous cell therapy to patients in need. 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assessing and documenting LIMS and ELN requirements, with an eye towards regulatory compliance.
  • Interfacing and collaborating with data stakeholders across all relevant departments.
  • Evaluating commercial offerings and identifying suitable products.
  • Working with software vendors and outside consultants as needed.
  • Migrating and harmonizing data from existing data sources.
  • Implementing, deploying, administering, and improving LIMS and ELN as needed.
  • Creating training seminars along with supporting reference documentation.
  • Serving as the primary point of contact for technical support questions.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum BS/BA in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Biological Sciences.
  • 4 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in LIMS development and administration.


JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

  • Preferred experience with one or more commercial LIMS packages.
  • Knowledge of GxP, FDA regulations, 21 CFR Part 11, 210, 211 and 820 compliance a plus.
  • ETL, SQL, and scripting experience (Python, Javascript, or similar) a plus.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with people of diverse backgrounds and job functions.
  • Ability to learn and maintain our existing "in-transition" system.
  • Demonstrated ability to write high-quality, production-ready code (readable, well-tested, with well-designed APIs)
  • Strong attention to detail and orientation to process
