Aspen Neuroscience is looking for a smart, energetic Enterprise Applications System Administrator who is ready to roll up their sleeves to provide daily administration, maintenance, and support of the organization’s enterprise application portfolio. The ideal candidate has functional business process experience in either life sciences or a regulated industry setting. Reporting to our Director, Enterprise Applications, this role requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and cross-functional collaboration with an eye toward improving business processes with reliable and compliant technology solutions. 

 

This is an on-site role in Torrey Pines, CA that requires flexibility and availability for weekend and holiday work as needed. Relocation is not available.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Configure, monitor, and maintain enterprise applications and related integrations.
  • Manage user accounts, roles, permissions, and security settings.
  • Perform routine system health checks, backups, and patching.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application issues, coordinating with vendors as needed.
  • Monitor system stability and performance, escalating risks as appropriate.
  • Support deployment of new applications, modules, and functional enhancements.
  • Assist with system upgrades, regression testing, and risk-based validation for GxP systems.
  • Maintain documentation associated with validated system changes.
  • Ensure enterprise applications meet internal and external standards for data integrity and security.
  • Maintain accurate validation, change management, and technical documentation.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements and provide technical solutions.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to understand requirements and recommend technical solutions.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and service providers to resolve issues and support enhancements.
  • Provide clear and timely communication to IT leadership regarding system status and performance.

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in enterprise application administration
  • Oracle NetSuite Certified Administrator certification preferred

 

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

  • Technical Skills: Experience with NetSuite Administration and familiarity with learning and administering cloud-based platforms and integrations.

  • Collaboration: Ability to work independently on routine tasks and collaboratively on complex issues.
  • Business Acumen: Understanding of Financial, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing processes.
  • Communication: Clear written and verbal communication skills with ability to document methods and results.
  • Organization & Initiative: Able to manage multiple requests, prioritize tasks, and seek guidance when appropriate.
  • Continuous Learning: Eager to expand skills in system administration of integrated systems.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Familiar with SOX, GxP, & FDA 21 CFR Part 11 preferred.

The anticipated salary range for candidates who will work in San Diego is $116,000-$130,000 annually. The final salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and length of experience within the industry, education, etc.  Aspen Neuroscience is multi-state employer, and this salary range may not reflect positions that work in other states.
