Senior Director of Information Technology

Job Overview:

The Senior Director of Information Technology is be responsible for aligning business systems and technology with the overall corporate strategy. This individual is responsible for the leadership, planning, and execution of initiatives that support the company’s operating plans and long term business strategy. This individual will partner with executive management as well as work with clinical, research, finance, and other key functions on their needs and help to establish viable, scalable, and cost-effective solutions. This person will lead the information technology team along with outside partners whom are accountable for the delivery and support of these functions

Responsibilities:

Manage a comprehensive Information Technology organization that effectively and efficiently meets the needs of the business including:
Collaborate with functional leaders to drive business process efficiency and develop a tactical road-map for IT initiatives, understanding the business strategy and identifying technology that can be used to support that strategy.
Define business specific requirements, provide technological input and act as a business partner to determine primal technology choices for enterprise applications.
Planning and execution of an enterprise systems vision, goals, and initiatives that support intermediate and long-term business planning and corporate objectives, mission and vision of the company
Manages the department’s operating budget and establishes proactive cost control measures including:
Establish and maintain strategic service provider partnerships
Procurement management for information technology activities
Implement and integrate risk management and disaster recovery procedures across the enterprise, based on a thorough understanding of key IT services that must be maintained to reduce financial loss and critical customer service capability.
Accountable for the justification and prioritization of technology initiatives and coordinating the evaluation, deployment and management of current and future technologies and products
Responsible for the overall cybersecurity program supporting a publicly traded company
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the IT operations, network services, cyber-security, business process analysis, including:
Create and implement an infrastructure capable of supporting the company’s policy, application and infrastructure requirements as it progresses from a development stage enterprise to a commercial organization
Create and communicate business/technology/product alignment plans to executive team, staff, partners, customers and stakeholders
Remain knowledgeable with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in anticipation of new business processes and products
Ensure Company’s technology processes, service and systems are compliant with state, federal and global regulations.

Requirements:

A strong leader who is adaptable and has strong collaborative management style.
Experience deploying and maintaining systems in regulated environments including SOX and GxP
Possesses excellent interpersonal skills and can work effectively with a diversity of personalities. Must be approachable, show respect for others, and be able to present data with effective communication and presentation skills.
Must be an effective consensus builder
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related technical discipline
6+ years of senior level management with hands-on administrator experience, maintaining and managing 24/7 data center infrastructure and networks.
Project Management skills with the ability to create complex project plans, KPI’s, project justification and deployment metrics
Experience overseeing data centers in-house and in cloud required.
15+ years of overall IT experience with increasing responsibility
Experience with management and oversight of enterprise contracts
Strong process and documentation background are required, along with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
