Founded in 1973, the Ohio Children’s Alliance is the oldest and largest non-profit statewide mission-driven child advocacy organization in the State of Ohio. Based in Columbus, Ohio, the Alliance provides a challenging and rewarding work environment for its growing staff team and is committed to fostering collaboration, innovation and professional excellence. Under the direction of the Bridges Program Manager, this full-time position, based in our Columbus office, will coordinate multiple key functions of the Bridges program. The Bridges program is designed to provide support to young adults who have aged out of foster care with support services enabling them to successfully achieve self-sufficiency and independence. The ideal candidate possesses outstanding organization and communication skills, has experience coordinating detailed processes in social services or human services programing, including data monitoring and reporting, program compliance, and quality improvement. The ideal candidate must excel in the use of Microsoft Office 365 products (Outlook, SharePoint, Teams, Word, PowerPoint and Excel) and have the ability to quickly gain proficiency using other software and web-based services as needed. This position is currently hybrid with occasional in-person requirements until further notice.
QUALIFICATIONS: In order to adequately fulfill this position an individual must have:
• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university or five years of equivalent experience
• Prior experience working in social services, preferably working with foster youth or alumni of foster care
• Willing to travel around the state of Ohio periodically each month
• Ability to work independently, and be a contributing member of a team of professionals
• Highly organized, motivated and efficient; ability to manage multiple work assignments and responsibilities simultaneously
• Strong public speaking skills and experience conducting presentations
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• A commitment to advancing racial equity
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 products (Outlook, SharePoint, Teams, Word, PowerPoint and Excel)
DUTIES: Under direct supervision of the Bridges Program Manager, this employee will:
• Monitor and process various incoming reports to ensure compliance standards are met.
• Coordinate various financial requests and invoices to ensure timely and accurate payments.
• Conduct case file audits and compile information for reporting purposes.
• Maintains updated lists of Program participants and staff.
• Coordinate annual focus group efforts across the state.
• Manage annual survey processes
• Monitor and distribute various program and marketing materials
• Assist agencies with creative problem solving if program progress is hindered
• Serves on internal teams and/or work groups
• Cross trained on other staff member critical duties
• Other duties as assigned
COMPENSATION: $40,000-50,000 negotiable and commensurate with experience. Paid vacation, sick leave, health, dental, life insurance coverage, and 401(k) retirement program.
