Founded in 1973, the Ohio Children’s Alliance is the oldest and largest non-profit statewide mission-driven child advocacy organization in the State of Ohio. Based in Columbus, Ohio, the Alliance provides a challenging and rewarding work environment for its growing staff team and is committed to fostering collaboration, innovation and professional excellence. The Alliance aspires to be a changemaker in the child and family service sector on a best practice and public policy level. Several programs and projects are administered by the Alliance, including conferences, training events, learning communities, and a provider network that contracts with government agencies and health plans. Today, the Alliance membership has grown to over 80 community foster care and behavioral health agencies across Ohio. These agencies drive our advocacy platform, system improvement goals, and participate in our change-making efforts with policy makers.
Under the direction of the Bridges Program Manager, this full-time remote position is based in the Southeast Region of Ohio. Residing in Southeast Ohio is a requirement for this position. The ideal candidate will manage multiple key areas for Ohio’s statewide extended foster care program, Bridges, by coordinating the Southeast Region’s service providers, ensuring consistent and high-quality service standards are being maintained. The candidate must also have outstanding organizational and communication skills, the ability to quickly learn and convey the technical aspects of the program, a knowledge of community resources and the ability to form positive relationships with multiple stakeholders.
QUALIFICATIONS:
In order to adequately fulfill this position, and individual must have
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services
- LSW/LPC licensure preferred
- At least three years of experience working with the Young Adult population
- A commitment to advancing racial equity
- Possession of a valid driver’s License, valid automobile insurance, and access to a vehicle
- Willing to travel around 500 miles per month
- Proficient with Microsoft 365 products (Outlook, Word and Excel); ability to quickly gain proficiency using other software and web-based services
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to analyze and report on outcomes/statistical information
- Highly organized, motivated and efficient; ability to manage multiple work assignments and responsibilities simultaneously
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
DUTIES:
Maintain positive relationship with all stakeholders and exercise a high degree of customer service
Provide Training and Technical Assistance to All Assigned Agencies:
- Act as primary point of contact for all service provider needs
- Assist with onboarding and training of new staff
- Effectively resolve any questions or barriers related to the provision of services
- Ensure new guidance is effectively and consistently communicated
Ensure Adherence to Continuous Quality Improvement Plan:
- Conduct case review audits and create/monitor any performance improvement needs
- Monitor regional and service provider level data to ensure positive performance
Assist with Referral Management:
- Assist with the management of referrals, case assignments and ensuring adequate referral capacity within the region
- Ensure referrals are acted on immediately and the enrollment process is timely and efficient
Participate in Community Engagement Activities:
- Responsible for the effective marketing of the Bridges program through facilitating presentations, attending community events, team meetings, etc.
- Cultivates regional community resources such as housing, employment, education options for Participants
- Attend regular monthly staff meetings or supervision meetings
COMPENSATION: $50,000-$60,000. Negotiable and commensurate with experience. Paid vacation, sick leave, health, dental, life insurance coverage, and 401(k) retirement program.
