Founded in 1973, the Ohio Children’s Alliance is the oldest and largest non-profit statewide mission-driven child advocacy organization in the State of Ohio. Based in Columbus, Ohio, the Alliance provides a challenging and rewarding work environment for its growing staff team and is committed to fostering collaboration, innovation and professional excellence. The Alliance aspires to be a changemaker in the child and family service sector on a best practice and public policy level. Several programs and projects are administered by the Alliance, including conferences, training events, learning communities, and a provider network that contracts with government agencies and health plans. Today, the Alliance membership has grown to over 80 community foster care and behavioral health agencies across Ohio. These agencies drive our advocacy platform, system improvement goals, and participate in our change-making efforts with policy makers. 


Under the direction of the Healthcare Network Administrator, this full-time position, based in our Columbus office, will be responsible for coordinating and maintaining administrative functions of various projects while providing strong support to the Healthcare Network Administrator.  The purpose of this new position is to better equip our Healthcare Network to address child and community health disparities, the social determinants of health, and to advance racial equity. Tasks will include planning, preparing, organizing, and maintaining project documentation, coordinating meetings, resources, equipment and information. The ideal candidate will possess professional experience in health care, referral management, meeting management, and will have the ability to manage project-related paperwork by ensuring all necessary materials are current, properly filed and stored.  Further, the ideal candidate will have the ability to direct project correspondence by preparing and reviewing proposals, memos, meeting minutes, and emails. 

This position is currently hybrid with occasional in-person requirements until further notice.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:In order to adequately fulfill this position an individual must have:  

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Healthcare or a related field; or possess equivalent work experience 
  • Strong problem-solving abilities 
  • Advanced knowledge with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Highly organized, motivated, and efficient;
  • Ability to manage multiple work assignments and responsibilities simultaneously
  • Prioritize and organize work to meet deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
  • A commitment to advancing racial equity
  • Strong time management and attention to detail
  • Prior Provider Relations experience preferred


DUTIES: Under direct supervision of the Healthcare Network Administrator, this employee will:  


  • Assist with project data requirements for a Health Information Exchange (HIE)
  • Manage referral assignments from hospitals and health plans external stakeholders? into our network
  • Manage vendor and provider communications, issues, and processes with referral programs
  • Receive, organize and manage payment process for service claims
  • Document, track, and report monthly, quarterly, and annual data related to the referral program? and goals
  • Provide project budget forecast and monitor project financials
  • Serve as technical lead and liaison for departmental projects
  • Monitor and report on quality indicators and targets, update, and audit databases with provider information
  • Maintain strong partnerships with members and stakeholders
  • Provide Training and Technical Assistance as needed?
  • Assist supervisor with departmental written policy and procedures
  • Support overall project plans, schedules, and deliverables
  • Other duties as assigned


COMPENSATION:  $50,000 annually, negotiable and commensurate with experience. Paid vacation, sick leave, health, dental, life insurance coverage, and 401(k) retirement program.
