Founded in 1973, the Ohio Children’s Alliance is the oldest and largest non-profit statewide mission-driven child advocacy organization in the State of Ohio.  Based in Columbus, Ohio, the Alliance provides a challenging and rewarding work environment for its growing staff team and is committed to fostering collaboration, innovation and professional excellence.  The Alliance aspires to be a changemaker in the child and family service sector on a best practice and public policy level.  Several programs and projects are administered by the Alliance, including conferences, training events, learning communities, and a provider network that contracts with government agencies and health plans.  Today, the Alliance membership has grown to over 80 community foster care and behavioral health agencies across Ohio.  These agencies drive our advocacy platform, system improvement goals, and participate in our change-making efforts with policy makers. 


The position is full-time and based in our office in Columbus, Ohio at 2600 Corporate Exchange Drive, near Westerville. The ideal candidate will provide administrative support to the Chief Operating Officer, as well as to the staff of all grant funded programs administered by the Ohio Children's Alliance, primarily focused on the Bridges extended foster care program.


This position follows a hybrid work schedule with occasional in-person office requirements until further notice.


QUALIFICATIONS: In order to adequately fulfill this position, an individual must have:

  •          High School diploma and at least one year of office experience required
  •          A commitment to advancing racial equity
  •          High Proficiency with Microsoft 365 products (Outlook, SharePoint, Teams, Word, PowerPoint and Excel)
  •          Professional attitude and appearance
  •          Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  •          Highly organized; resourceful and proactive; pays close attention to detail
  •          Strong time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
  •          Ability to collaborate with multiple teams of people, simultaneously
  •          Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.


RESPONSIBILITIES: Under the direction of the Chief Operating Officer this individual will be responsible for:


  • Bridges program support (.5 FTE):

o   Meeting management: schedules, attends, takes minutes, communicates links and distributes meeting materials

o   IT related duties:  maintains the Bridges Provider Portal and the Weekly News on the website; run SACWIS reports as requested

o   Event planning:  coordinates dates, venues, speakers, food, gift cards for Bridges functions

o   Training support: manage training certificates and staff recognition; upload Continuing Education (CE) Broker documentation for training attendees

o   Welcome Kits: order, assemble and distribute Bridges Welcome Kits, at least quarterly

o   Additional support as needed for large scale projects (communications, data collection/management)


  • General program support (.5 FTE):

o   Track and order business supplies for staff

o   Assist with printing and distribution of various marketing materials

o   Update website for new program information?

o   Coordinate program billing, invoice documentation organization

o   Attend Leadership meetings and take minutes

o   Assist Chief Operating Officer as needed


  • Other duties as assigned



COMPENSATION:  $35,000-$40,000 annually, negotiable and commensurate with experience.  Paid vacation, sick leave, health, dental, life insurance coverage, and 401(k) retirement program.
