SUMMARY:  Founded in 1973, the Ohio Children’s Alliance is a non-profit statewide mission-driven organization based in Columbus, Ohio. During the last three years, Alliance membership has grown by 28% while membership projects and grants have grown exponentially. Today the Alliance manages an innovative statewide program that equips former foster youth for success in adulthood as well as a children’s behavioral health care provider network which cultivates and manages projects that advance health care improvements.

 

Under the direction of the Health Care Network Administrator, this full-time position, based in our Columbus office, will be responsible for coordinating and maintaining administrative functions of various projects while providing strong support to the Health Care Network Administrator.  The purpose of this new position is to better equip our Health Care Network to address child and community health disparities, the social determinants of health, and to advance racial equity.  Tasks will include planning, preparing, organizing, and maintaining project documentation, coordinating meetings, resources, equipment and information.  The ideal candidate will possess professional experience in health care, referral management, meeting management, and will have the ability to manage project-related paperwork by ensuring all necessary materials are current, properly filed and stored.  Further, the ideal candidate will have the ability to direct project correspondence by preparing and reviewing proposals, memos, meeting minutes, and emails.  

 

QUALIFICATIONS:  In order to adequately fulfill this position an individual must have: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Health Care or a related field; or possess equivalent work experience
  • Strong problem-solving abilities  
  • Advanced knowledge with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Highly organized, motivated, and efficient; ability to manage multiple work assignments and responsibilities simultaneously
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team

 

RESPONSIBILITIES: Under the direction of the Health Care Network Administrator, this individual will: 

  • Assist with project data requirements for a Health Information Exchange (HIE)
  • Manage referral assignments from hospitals and health plans into our network
  • Manage vendor and provider communications, issues and processes with referral programs
  • Receive, organize and manage payment process for service claims
  • Document, track, and report monthly, quarterly, and annual quality metrics and goals
  • Assist supervisor with departmental written policy and procedures
  • Support overall project plans, schedules, and deliverables
  • Provide project budget forecast and monitor project financials
  • Serve as technical lead and liaison for departmental projects
  • Monitor and report on quality indicators and targets

 

COMPENSATION:  $50,000 annually, negotiable and commensurate with experience.  Paid vacation, sick leave, health, dental, life insurance coverage, and 401(k) retirement program.
