SUMMARY:  Founded in 1973, the Ohio Children’s Alliance is a non-profit statewide trade association located in Columbus, Ohio.  The Alliance provides a challenging and rewarding work environment that fosters teamwork and inspires professional excellence.   The Alliance offers professional services to community foster care and mental health agencies; it lobbies government agencies on matters that impact children, families, and the community agencies that serve them; and is leading a health care provider network, the Child and Family Health Collaborative of Ohio (Collaborative).  The Collaborative was established in 2017, as a wholly owned subsidiary of the Ohio Children's Alliance, to create opportunities for its member organizations to collaborate with Health Plans, health care organizations, and government agencies. It leverages collaborative opportunities to innovate and improve health and social outcomes, achieve savings, foster health integration, and establish administrative efficiencies.

 

Under the direction of the COO, this full-time position based in our Columbus office, will be responsible for successfully developing, managing, and overseeing front line operations for clinical integration and quality improvement activities, including but not limited to leadership of our Quality Committee.  This position will collaborate with our provider agencies and key partners to develop an effective data collection process, to create robust quality performance measure reports and to establish key performance improvement activities.  The role includes program development, implementation, and external relations with the health care sector. The role involves substantial collaboration with leaders and internal and external stakeholders to facilitate the coordination of clinical integration activities, as well as to support the transition to value-based care payment arrangements between our community organizations and health plans. 


QUALIFICATIONS:  In order to adequately fulfill this position an individual must have:

·         Masters degree in business, public health, nursing, integrative health, healthcare administration or other related field preferred.  Bachelor's Degree required.

·         3+ years of progressive experience required with increasing responsibilities and experience in managing complex teams and programs with demonstrated successful outcomes

·         Experience working with clinical integration, quality improvement and value-based healthcare programs strongly preferred.

·         Advanced training in project management, performance improvement and quality improvement methodologies is strongly preferred.

·         Familiarity with HEDIS measures, Healthgrades and Ohio Dept of Medicaid clinical parameters.

·         Ability to analyze and report on outcomes/statistical information

·         Highly organized, motivated and efficient; ability to manage multiple work assignments and responsibilities simultaneously.

·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills

·         Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Under the direction of the COO, this individual will:

·         Manage implementation of the clinical integration strategic plan

·         Provide operational leadership to clinical integration and implementation of population health programs

·         Manage on-boarding of over 30 provider organizations onto a health information exchange

·         Consult and advise with IT, EHR and HIE leaders to ensure that clinical metrics are properly and efficiently captured and available to Collaborative providers.

·         Manage various legal documents including provider participation agreements, releases of information, and contracts with health care companies

·         Lead the development, execution and resourcing of playbooks and action plans aimed at supporting a member provider organization’s ability to be successful with clinical integration, population health and value-based care.

·         Lead the health plan Quality Committee and develop key priorities for our clinical quality improvement program

·         Establish, implement and measure quality improvement initiatives necessary to accomplish and improve member care.

·         Develop and execute strategies and activities to improve quality measures and achieve desired out comes

·         Educate and assist network providers in development of best practice quality improvement action plans.

·         Present summaries, key takeaways and action steps to network providers and leadership teams

COMPENSATION:  $60,000-$80,000 negotiable and commensurate with experience.  Paid vacation, sick leave, health, dental, life insurance coverage, and 401(k) retirement program.
