Wafer Level Test Development Engineer

Our growing team is looking for a Wafer Level Test Development Engineer. You will have the opportunity to create and drive the test technology roadmap to meet the testing needs of this emerging technology. In this role you will provide end to end testing development solutions including instrumentation and probe card design. You will utilize your coding skills to write software to execute the tests and create algorithms to extract parameters from the collected data ND enable classification of devices and designs. You will also provide critical input during device design and manufacturing process development, design of experiments (DOE), layout of test patterns, collection of test data with close coordination with design teams, and statistical data analysis, all with a focus on innovation and accelerated time to market.

Role responsibilities include:

  • Take ownership of Wafer Acceptance Testing (WAT) test design and optimization for monitoring of entire fab process.
  • Define wafer level Known Good Die (KGD) test architectures and programs.
  • Analyze test data and correlate measurements with simulations.

This position requires:

  • Master's or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience with statistical data analysis and process control for test and process characterization and yield analysis.
  • Hands-on experience performing FDTD and other numerical simulation tools.
  • Deep understanding of the working principles integrated photonic components.
  • Relevant hands-on experience in wafer level testing of photonic devices with proven ability to integrate hardware and software into high volume test solutions.
  • Experience in characterizing RF components.
  • Direct experience in semiconductor or optical devices such as lasers, electro-optic modulators, semiconductor optical amplifiers, and PIN/APD receivers.
  • Direct experience with semiconductor test equipment, such as parameter analyzers, spectrum analyzers, VNA, and switch matrices.
  • Extreme attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of Python programming language
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Must be a strong team player, supporting & analytical skill, and good working habits
  • Self-starter who can accomplish assigned tasks with minimal direction
  • Bilingual (English and Mandarin) communication capabilities preferred.
