Our growing team is looking for an Application Engineer – Packaged Modulator. This position offers a unique opportunity to participate in both technical and sales parts of our integrated photonics products. This position will be responsible for providing technical support by solving problems, troubleshooting, and working with customers to guide them to the best possible product solutions for their applications and experiments. Activities include frequent communication with the customer (specifications, pricing, product availability, services etc), contract negotiation, and coordination of design and manufacturing resources, measurement and testing of the product etc. This position can be junior or senior depending on the applicant’s background and experience.

Role responsibilities include:

  • Frequent communication with the customer (specifications, pricing, product availability, services etc)
  • Understand customer technical need
  • Provide technical support to customers
  • Measurement and testing of products to ensure that products meet specs or exceed customer expectations
  • Dedicated point of contract for the customer
  • Support Marketing and Sales activities
  • Provide market feedback to R&D team

This position requires:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a Photonics related field such as Physics, Optics, Engineering, BioPhotonics, or a related field.
  • Working experience with high-speed RF is a plus
  • Understanding of electro-optical modulator, photonics, optics, lasers, fiber, polarization, RF over fiber, and more
  • Strong written & oral commination skills
  • Ability to work under time constraints
  • Understanding of the working principles of integrated photonic components.
  • Desire to deliver innovative products to market
  • Ability to solve problems in new and/or ambiguous scenarios
