POSITION PURPOSE

To fulfill Kavis Pharma LLC vision of delivering world class service to our customers at optimal cost. This position will provide Supply Chain Operations support and efficiently manage the flow of information and product through our Supply Chain to support our customers; while improving processes and maintaining/planning appropriate inventory levels. Position responsibilities include: analyze procurement reports to support raw material ordering processes, support budget activities, reduce inventory write offs, provide analytics and reporting on Supply Chain metrics, conducting supply chain improvement projects and generating efficiencies, and material master data maintenance. This will be achieved through proactive efforts to connect, collaborate and communicate with various site functions, Customers, Sourcing, and R&D team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Oversee vendor management in collaboration with Quality Supplier Management and Finance to ensure all vendors are within compliance and approved.
- Direct material sourcing for APIs, excipients and components using current approved vendors and/or new vendors to ensure on-time launch for new projects.
- Monitor vendor changes by supporting compliance change management processes.
- Manage SAP master data for all inventory materials including in planning, process orders and customer sales orders.
- Analyze procurement reports and make recommendations for raw materials and components order placement to receipt. Provide timely communication to stakeholders on status of material shortages. Identify trends and present solutions for material issues.
- Conduct strategic analysis of inventory levels and trends to identify potential issues with excess materials, inventory write offs and/or material availability.
- Analyze potential impact of forecast on component procurement and production volume, analyze system planning parameters and make appropriate adjustments to meet company’s customer care objectives.
- Assist in the development and implement supply chain continuous improvement projects, creating processes and methods to gather supply chain data.
- Prepare and maintain various databases, reports and metrics related to local and strategic procurement and planning while supporting the site’s S&OP structure.
- Ensure that the transition to utilize alternative sources also provides adequate supply coverage and relationships with existing suppliers are maintained where appropriate.

QUALIFICATIONS

KNOWLEDGE
Must possess thorough knowledge of Supply Chain functions. Candidate must possess strong analytical, written and verbal communication, interpersonal and project management skills. Must have the ability to multi-task and have meticulous attention to detail. Adherence to Company and Department policies and procedures as well as government regulations. Requires understanding of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Global regulatory requirements (including FDA) and Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs).
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Must possess strong analytical and project management skills, with the ability to, work effectively and implement solutions in a cross functional team environment. Demonstrates excellent oral and written communication skills. Must be proficient in all Microsoft Office Applications, ERP/MRP knowledge in specific SAP. Will work closely with other sites in the network to improve Kavis’s strategic reach.
SUPERVISION
Position functions autonomously.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent and minimum of 3-5 years of experience. Bachelor of Science/Arts in Supply Chain. However, a combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration.
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS
Preferred APICS Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) and Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP)
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret complex business and/or technical documents. Ability to write comprehensive reports and detailed business correspondence. Ability to work with managers or directors and communicate ambiguous concepts. Ability to present to groups across the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide; compute ratios, percent and metric conversions.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve problems with a variety of concrete variables through semi-standardized solutions that require some ingenuity and analysis. Ability to draw inferences and follow prescribed and detailed procedures to solve moderately complex problems.
