Position Summary:
Our Production & NPI group has an opening for a Senior Buyer who will report to the Production Operations Manager. This role will lead procurement activities within 908 Devices, supporting both the R&D and Manufacturing teams. The Senior Buyer will collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure supply continuity as our manufacturing volumes increase.
- Purchasing of materials, components and subassemblies or services to meet specified cost, quantity, quality, and delivery targets.
- Ensure continuous supply of required goods and materials.
- Communicate supply issues that could affect business delivery targets or customer expectations.
- Provide reports on a weekly basis and as required.
- Evaluate areas of opportunity and reduce costs where possible.
- Explore alternate sources for materials and components.
- Ensure that a professional and consistent approach is taken in supplier relationships.
- Ensure compliance to company guidelines, purchasing policies and procedures.
- Develop innovative procurement processes to reduce cost and lead time.
- Develop approaches to increase operational efficiency, add value, improve business performance, and drive continuous improvement.
- Evaluate existing and new suppliers.
Preferred Skills:
- Previous experience with Netsuite or similar ERP system
- Highly organized, focused, detail oriented

Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 7+ years’ experience working in a manufacturing operations environment
- Experience with biotech or pharma industries preferred
