Position Summary:

In this key leadership role, you will function as the North American Sales Director, driving sales across our innovative Life Sciences products, the REBEL and ZipChip platforms.  We are at the forefront of bringing breakthrough analytical devices to market and we seek a driven, talented, and ambitious sales Leader to contribute to our success.  You will have the opportunity for spirited collaboration while you manage and mentor a growing global sales team.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Consistently make your numbers.  Represent 908 and the direct sales of REBEL and ZipChip across the North America region while delivering on budget and accurate, reliable sales forecasts.
  • Ignite your network of direct sales reps and channel partners with the opportunity to solve their customers problems with a 908 Devices Life Science solution.
  • Love your sales team and channel partners and have them love you back by delivering strategic direction with the right sales guidance at the right time. 
  • Leverage your management skills to grow and develop a high performing Sales organization
  • Work closely with our Marketing, Support, and Operations teams to ensure you, your team and customers are successful.
  • Surprise your sales team and their customers with how quickly you respond to sales and support inquiries.
  • Amplify your effectiveness by working closely with other members of the 908 Sales & Marketing team.
  • Synergize.  You are a selling machine and will deploy your best practices to the rest of the team.
  • Stay connected to the global sales strategy.  What happens in North America is important for other regions and vice versa.
  • You embody 908 and our products - Collaborate and share your best practices with your global team.

Qualifications:

  • You are a proven leader, selling capital equipment into BioPharma, Bioprocess, Process Development, Analytical and Cell Line Development environments.
  • You have deep experience selling a high volume of equipment through direct sales and key account management.
  • You have an incredible network of contacts in the areas noted above.
  • You know how to develop, manage, and motivate your team.  You will inspire them.
  • You are a successful coach and have seen your efforts reflected in your team wins.
  • You thrive in a small and growing company where you have seen your hard work and creativity appreciated.
  • You have advanced working knowledge of the necessary software productivity tools needed for the role.
  • You are all about the sales process from lead to close won.
  • You are all about the details.

 

Additional Information:

  • The position will be based in North America, ideally close to key Biotech/Biopharma hubs.
  • This position will require travel – Plan to be in the field 3x per week.
  • The sales territory will cover the whole North America region.
  • The new hire will report to the VP Commercial Sales, 908 Devices.
