908 Devices is headquartered in Boston, MA, near the Seaport and has a satellite office in North Carolina and a growing population of remote staff worldwide.  

Position Summary:

Your primary responsibility will be assembly and test of our Life Science products. This will include production testing of both subassembly and top-level assemblies using custom software, data entry and preparation of test reports, and preparation of test assays by following defined procedures and work instructions. The position will also require some visual inspection and quality assurance sampling measurements. You will also work with the New Production Introduction (NPI) team to trouble-shoot production issues and assist in continuous improvement of test processes.

We strongly value hard work, focus and attention to detail, and we foster an extremely collaborative environment, but also seek candidates able to work effectively with minimal supervision.  This position is 40hrs/week, located in Boston, MA.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Education Level: Associates Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Technology or similar preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing and test of electro-mechanical assemblies.
  • Previous experience in a clean room environment would be an asset, as well as experience in transitioning from prototype to volume manufacturing.
  • Ability to follow detailed work instructions and handle miniaturized components.
  • Solid organization skills with high attention to detail required.
  • Previous experience with vacuum pumps, chambers, ovens would be a plus.
  • Experience with using basic electro-mechanical lab equipment such as digital multi-meter, oscilloscopes, power supplies, stereo/measuring microscopes, micrometers, torque tools and pin gauges.
  • Hard working, high energy and able to work independently.
  • Computer literate. Must be able to use electronic documents and fill in electronic records.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong initiative, teamwork, and time management skills.
  • U.S. citizenship or permanent residency is required.
