Ashvattha Therapeutics Inc is a clinical stage biopharmaceutical company developing products for the unmet medical needs utilizing a novel nanomedicine technology exclusively licensed from Johns Hopkins University. We are currently looking for outstanding individuals to join our research and development team and contribute to our rapidly expanding portfolio of therapeutic products. We have product candidates in neurology, ophthalmology, and inflammation indications.
The Position
We are seeking an experienced Senior Chemist with a minimum of 8-10 years of industry experience who has in-depth expertise with small molecule drug synthesis and analytical method development. Successful candidate must have experience with synthesis techniques including use of microwave reactors, rotary evaporators, freeze dryers, and tangential flow filtration systems. Additional experience with data analysis for HPLC, LC-MS, GC-MS, ICP-MS, SEC-MALS, atomic absorption spectrophotometer, NMR Spectroscopy, and other techniques is preferred.
Job Requirements
BS / MS degree in Chemistry or closely related scientific area is required. Candidate must have direct experience with synthesis techniques including use of microwave reactors, rotary evaporators, freeze dryers, and tangential flow filtration systems. Additional skills may include analytical method development and various tests for high molecular weight compounds and small molecule drugs. Experience in the discovery and lead optimization of small molecule drugs is preferred. Must be able to work on site at our Redwood City facility, five days per week.

The general salary range for individuals who meet the job criteria for a Sr Scientist I/II is a range of $85,000 - $135,000 depending on years of experience and skill set. The company also offers participation in the annual bonus program.
