Ashvattha Therapeutics Inc is a clinical stage biopharmaceutical company developing products for the unmet medical needs utilizing a novel nanomedicine technology exclusively licensed from Johns Hopkins University. We are currently looking for outstanding individuals to join team and contribute to our rapidly expanding portfolio of therapeutic products. We have product candidates in neurology, ophthalmology, and inflammation indications.

 

The Position

 

The Sr. Research Associate will report to the Sr. Scientist in our formulations department.   They will support the development of Preclinical, and clinical Formulations, and the analytical methods to characterize them, in support of HD therapeutics (HDTs), to treat unmet medical needs in ophthalmology, neurology, inflammatory diseases, and neuro-oncology program.  The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic, interdisciplinary team and require a high degree of creativity and initiative. This is an exciting time to help drive the development of novel therapies for unmet needs in multiple indications.  This is a full-time, on site position located at our Redwood City facility. 

 

Responsibilities will include:

 

  • Support the design and develop Preclinical and Clinical formulations of HD therapeutics (HDTs).
  • Prepare and Characterize formulations for preclinical studies
  • Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory instruments
  • Manage, set up and maintain all equipment in the formulation lab.
  • Keep and accurate and detailed electronic Laboratory notebook
  • Familiar with HPLC, UV, Moisture Content analysis and formulation characterization techniques
  • Perform tasks per protocols and develop new protocols as needed.
  • Additional responsibilities may be added as required.

Job Requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, pharmaceutical sciences, or related discipline with minimum 5 years of experience in Pharmaceutical Industry. Master’s degree in chemistry, pharmaceutical sciences, or related discipline preferred but not required.
  • Good understanding of organic chemistry.
  • Expertise in HPLC and other large molecule analytical techniques.
  • Pre-Formulation and Formulation experience.
  • Independent, problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Technical writing experience such as protocols, reports, and SOPs.
  • Ability to communicate scientific findings and recommendations in one-on-one discussions, departmental meetings, and written reports.
  • Proficiency in Preparing presentations using PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment with multiple projects, priorities, and personalities.

We have a comprehensive total compensation package including fully paid medical, dental and vision benefits for you and your family.  We want all of our employees to have the opportunity to become shareholders and offer new hire stock options.  The company also offers participation in the annual bonus program.  The salary range for candidates located in the Bay Area is $85,000 – 115,000 depending on skills and experience.
