Ashvattha Therapeutics Inc is a clinical stage biopharmaceutical company developing products for the unmet medical needs utilizing a novel nanomedicine technology exclusively licensed from Johns Hopkins University. We are currently looking for outstanding individuals to join team and contribute to our rapidly expanding portfolio of therapeutic products. We have product candidates in neurology, ophthalmology, and inflammation indications.

 

The Position

Senior Accounts Payable is in charge of day-to-day invoice review and processing. Established him/herself as the first point of contact for external and internal parties regarding questions about vendor set-up, purchase requisition/purchase order processing and invoices. Responsible for purchase requisition (PR) creation and ensuring the PR is approved in line with the Company's internal policies. Independently performs month-end close procedures to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Function as first point of contact for questions related to purchase orders, invoices, employee reimbursement requests and credit memos from internal and external partners.
  • Create purchase requisitions in the Company’s ERP system and circulate approved purchase orders to vendors.
  • Process and review accounts payable invoices, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies and procedures, including sorting, coding and performing 3-way match with inventory purchase orders.
  • Independently research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure invoices are processed, posted, and approved in a timely manner.
  • Assist with month-end close activities, including credit card reconciliations and accruals.
  • Prepare 1099s annually and ensure accurate reporting information.
  • Provide support for external audits related to accounts payable processes.
  • Assist the Accounting and Finance team in efforts to maintain accurate and complete contract listing and future efforts to establish a contract management system.
  • Support the Accounting and Finance team in any ad-hoc tasks as needed

 

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts payable or related role.

  • Well organized, excellent at multi-tasking and prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP)

We have a comprehensive total compensation package including fully paid medical, dental and vision benefits for you and your family.  We want all of our employees to have the opportunity to become shareholders and offer new hire stock options.  The company also offers participation in the annual bonus program.  The salary range for candidates located in the Bay Area is $75,000 - $85,000 depending on skills and experience.
