Who We Are

Ashvattha Therapeutics is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on developing novel hydroxyl dendrimer (HD) therapeutics (HDTs) to treat unmet medical needs in oncology, ophthalmology, and inflammatory diseases. We believe that HDTs will become the future of targeted therapeutics and unlock new levels of patient care.

The Role

Hydroxyl dendrimer therapeutics (HDTs) are a new class of compounds being developed by Ashvattha. The analytical characterization of these compounds is complex and scientifically challenging. Analytical chemistry scientists at Ashvattha are responsible of analysis of the HDTs and the components of the HDT, the HD and the active small molecule component. Analytical characterization will focus on the analysis of the structure, purity, potency, and impurity profile of each HDT. Additional efforts include evaluation of stability in formulations and plasma to support nonclinical studies. The candidate will take an active role in supporting preclinical and clinical HDTs. He/she will be part of a research team working closely with nonclinical and manufacturing teams to support development efforts including transfer of methods to GLP CMO and pre-IND sections. This role will also support efforts to select new HDTs for advancement into IND enabling studies.

Key Deliverables

Set-up Redwood City lab analytical chemistry systems; Identify and contract key CROs to leverage external methods as necessary; Establish methods for new compounds in pipeline and support analytical efforts on clinical compounds as needed

Skills & Experience

PhD in a related discipline.  Hands-on experience in analytical techniques, such as Liquid Chromatography (HPLC, UPLC), NMR, MS, GPC, SEC-MALS and MALDI-TOF; Experience with analysis of complex molecules (antibody-drug conjugates, drug-polymer conjugates); Ability to design and implement experiments to achieve objectives (problem solving skills); Minimum of 5 years experience working in a biotech or pharmaceutical company
