Ashvattha Therapeutics Inc. is a clinical stage biopharmaceutical company developing products for the unmet medical needs utilizing a novel dendrimer technology exclusively licensed from Johns Hopkins University. We are currently looking for outstanding individuals to join our research and development wing and contribute to our rapidly expanding portfolio of therapeutic products. We are seeking to recruit a highly motivated, creative, and productive analytical scientist with a strong background and experience in analytical chemistry to support the preclinical development of dendrimer drug conjugates/antibody-drug conjugate for a wide range of therapeutic areas. The Analytical Scientist is a laboratory-based scientific role tasked with solving complex analytical problems at the interface of chemistry, engineering, and biology. The candidate will take an active role in supporting product development by applying a variety of analytical methodologies to support physical and chemical characterization of dendrimer-drug conjugates. The candidate should be highly proficient in using HPLC, new method development and validation, drug release evaluation and stability testing of dendrimer/polymer drug conjugates.

Required experience and skills

·       Strong background and experience in analytical chemistry and material chemistry.

·       Experience in areas such as bioconjugate chemistry, and analytical characterization of large molecules and/or antibody drug and immunoconjugates.

·       Hands-on experience in analytical techniques, such as Liquid Chromatography (HPLC, UPLC), NMR, MS, GPC, SEC-MALS and MALDI-TOF.

·       Strong understanding of modern drug conjugation methods and techniques with nanocarriers such as polymer/dendrimer, peptides and antibodies.

·       Knowledge of stability studies, drug release studies for polymer/antibody-drug conjugates & biopharmaceuticals.

·       Works with advanced methods and performs highly technical experiments accurately, consistently, and in a timely manner.

·       Effective working with a diverse team of consultants and external collaborators.

·       Makes decisions regarding analyzing and interpreting data, drawing conclusions, and arriving at timely technical decisions.

·       Independent decision-making in protocol planning, study design and execution of experiments as well as interpreting and presenting data in an effective scientific manner.

·       Understanding of experimental objectives and experimental design, including a successful track record of independently performing experiments and consistently preparing accurate and complete experimental records.

·       Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate to people at all levels of an organization.

Required Qualifications

·       The candidate should have a Ph.D. in chemistry or related field or M.S. in chemistry or related field with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the Pharmaceutical Industry.

·       Prior experience with targeted delivery platforms (antibody-drug conjugates, polymer-drug conjugates) is desirable.
