JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Parts Proposal Specialist is responsible for developing proposals for customer part inquiries and processing new orders. The candidate will support the small parts team to ensure that proposals and orders are delivered 100% on time and customer satisfaction is exceeded.
• Receive incoming requests for quotes for a variety of gas turbine parts.
• Prepare quotations and proposals including pricing, delivery, and part applicability.
• Collaborate across engineering, production, and sourcing teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of customer orders.
• Correspond with external vendors and service providers to request quotes and ensure timely and accurate product delivery.
• Contribute to issue resolution and problem solving related to small part orders.
• Research and compile a variety of data, as well as, updating MS Access database for storing/reporting information.
• Communicate on behalf of the company, with current and potential customers and proactively promote part sales.
• Participate in business development activities to help identify and research opportunities on new/existing customers.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Associates Degree or in engineering or related technical field, a plus.
• 3-5 years of experience in power generation or industrial industry involving turbine product service or parts.
• 3-5 years of commercial experience including developing customer relationships, and customer service.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, bilingual is desirable.
• Understanding transaction requirements including basic Terms and Conditions.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite, including MS Access database management system.
