UNEW, Inc., formerly ETS Power Group, Inc. is an ISO certified provider of dimensional inspection services. UNEW utilizes the most advanced techniques for performing automated computer aided dimensional inspections in support of manufacturing companies employing Industry 4.0. UNEW Approaches dimensional inspection with an engineering mentality and utilizes Engineering personnel extensively in our Inspection Services department.  

 

As the Metrology Lab Supervisor, you will lead Inspection Services personnel and promote the overall goals of the company by interacting with all required functions necessary to provide detailed layout inspections of a wide variety of parts utilizing advanced computer-aided inspection techniques. You will interact and coordinate with UNEW customers to implement the latest Industry 4.0 technology into their facilities.  

 

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Provide technical leadership and direction for engineering personnel as it relates to inspection services. 
  • Create schedules for each project, monitor status and budgets. Report updates to management. 
  • Review engineering inspections for conformance to Company standards and customer requirements. 
  • Coordinate and maintain company calibration records and adherence.   
  • Ensure accurate and concise inspection service records (job package, electronic files, models, etc) in accordance with applicable company standards and quality management system. 
  • Maintain all quality procedures and work instructions in accordance with the Company’s ISO17025/ISO9000 Quality Management System. 
  • Oversee the daily tasks of the inspection services team. 
  • Coordinates all training activity for the Inspection Services department. 
  • Maintain, Update and report on Metrology department metrics. 

 

Job Requirements:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering 
  • A minimum of two years’ experience in dimensional inspection of precision components using advanced inspection techniques. 
  • Individual must have above average interpersonal skills with the ability to coach and develop individuals. 
  • In depth understanding of ISO17025 and ANSI/NCSL Z540 Quality management systems.  
  • Experience with structured Light scanning systems required. 
  • Knowledge of ANSI-Y-14.5 dimensioning and tolerancing. 
  • Ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings. 
  • Working knowledge Microsoft Office software (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word). 
  • GOM Inspect software experience, preferred. 
  • Python and visual basic programming experience, a plus. 
  • Experience with PRO/E, Unigraphics, Geomagic, a plus. 
  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. ‘Green Card Holder’) Political Asylee, or Refugee.
