UNEW is currently seeking a Structured Light Scan Technician. In this position you will be exposed to a multitude of Gas Turbine parts at various stages of the manufacturing process. UNEW employs a fully automated 3D scanning system to ensure and verify quality of our products as well as products of our customers. The Scan Technician is responsible for scan program creation, part fixture deployment and execution of defined inspection requirements.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform blue light inspections of complex turbine parts using ATOS scanning system
• Interface with engineering department to coordinate inspection of parts
• Develop and maintain automated inspection programs
• Program & operate robotic scanners
• Develop new scanning methodologies and fixtures
• Operate and maintain all lab equipment
• Establish efficient and cost-effective inspection methods
• Prepare and present inspection documentation results to Engineering
• Perform manual inspections of parts & tools
• Maintain calibration of all equipment & calibration artifacts

Requirements:

• Associates/bachelor’s degree in a technology field or applicable experience with ATOS Scanning system

• Python programming experience, required
• Related scanning or metrology experience, a plus
• Experience with CAD software, a plus
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Excellent analytical skills
• Fully proficient in Microsoft Office software (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
• Occasional travel may be required
