The Pat Tillman Foundation (PTF) unites and empowers remarkable military veterans and spouses as the next generation of public and private sector leaders committed to service beyond self. Inspired by Pat Tillman, who proudly put his NFL career with the Arizona Cardinals on hold to serve his country, family, and friends established the Pat Tillman Foundation following Pat’s death in April 2004 while serving with the 75th Ranger Regiment in Afghanistan. Over the last 20 years, the Pat Tillman Foundation has supported nearly 1,000 Tillman Scholars as they’ve furthered their education and increased their professional impact in the world.

PTF seeks an experienced Associate Director to help lead our programs and leadership team. This role will be instrumental in shaping the future of PTF's programming, driving innovation, and maximizing our impact on the lives of military service members, veterans, and spouses. The Associate Director will be entrusted with a great deal of autonomy and needs to be innovative and creative while having the ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing, highly collaborative environment. This role will be a thought partner to the Director of Programs and Leadership and act as spokesperson and ambassador for PTF and its community.

Programmatic Strategy and Implementation:

  • Program Evaluation and Improvement: Conduct thorough evaluations of existing programs to identify areas for improvement. Develop and implement strategies to enhance program effectiveness and impact.

  • Curriculum Development: Create engaging and impactful content for various programs, ensuring alignment with PTF's mission and strategic goals.

  • Project Management: Lead and manage complex program projects from inception to completion. Set clear objectives, timelines, and budgets.

  • Partnership Development: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, donors, partners, and community organizations.

Team Leadership and Management:

  • Team Development: Mentor and develop team members to foster a high-performing and collaborative culture.

  • Resource Allocation: Manage program budgets and allocate resources effectively to maximize impact.

  • Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with other departments to ensure seamless program delivery and alignment with organizational goals.

  • Flexible work environment. This role will be hybrid based out of our office at 180 N. La Salle St. We are in the office on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 9-5pm. Tuesdays and Fridays are remote days.
  • This role can be filled as a remote role, with 25% travel for office visits.
