This Security Sales Representative is a full-time permanent position reporting to the COO, and also working with our management team to analyze client feedback and provide input into our agile development process. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated history of selling and delivery in the cybersecurity space, including creating and closing opportunities with B2B decision makers, defining ongoing account strategies to expand reach within clients, closely working with channel partners to achieve sales and broad knowledge of security programs, technology, and operations. 


Responsibilities: 

  • Business development and lead generation 
  • Manage inbound sales leads 
  • Work with channel partners on sales opportunities 
  • Demonstrate technical products and tools 
  • Explain and customize services 
  • Develop proposal scope and pricing 
  • Generate quotations and sales documentation 
  • Assist with deployment or service kick-offs 
  • Attend industry trade shows to accumulate new leads and make productive contact with existing clients and prospects 
  • Establish and maintain customer relationships and develop account strategies to profitably expand within accounts 
  • Develop and implement marketing and sales plans to achieve corporate objectives 
  • Prepare general use and specific sales materials (e.g. sales collateral, PowerPoint presentations, etc.) 
  • Develop and maintain a sales forecast and report competitive conditions and feedback from customers to help analyze market conditions for sales growth 
  • Update client information in the company CRM database and generate weekly sales reports 
  • Stay current on existing and emerging security products, technologies, services and industry trends to identify potential opportunities for company growth 
  • Maintain ethical and cooperative channel relationships consistent with company image and objectives in the marketplace 
  • Develop an effective and productive working relationship with all staff and departments 
  • Other duties as instructed or required to successfully complete the job 

 

Requirements for Success: 

  • 5+ years of top performance in outside sales and business development with an IT services or outsourcing company - cybersecurity experience strongly preferred 
  • Demonstrated ability to build, maintain and progress a strong sales pipeline 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Assurance, Business Administration or related areas preferred 
  • Knowledge of existing and emerging security products, technologies, services, and industry trends 
  • Driven to provide excellent customer service 
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills 
  • Ability to collaborate with clients, teammates and vendors, including involving others in decisions, building trust, encouraging the participation of key stakeholders, demonstrating analytical and problem-solving skills and developing ideas and solutions 
  • Able to work well under pressure and follow through on requests from clients and teammates with a sense of urgency, while communicating in a friendly, responsive and business-like manner at all times
