Join Our Team as an Electrical Manufacturing Maintenance Technician!
Are you good at designing blueprints, repairing machines, and staying organized? We are seeking a detail-oriented Electrical Manufacturing Maintenance Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be expected to install and maintain production equipment, troubleshoot machinery, and control equipment operation. We are growing and looking for an experienced maintenance technician to join our team! Work independently and with other plant personnel to perform preventative, predictive, and routine maintenance tasks including troubleshooting issues, repairing failures of production and facilities equipment, and ensuring maximum equipment efficiency and effectiveness. All tasks will be performed while supporting the policies, goals, and objectives of the company, including safety.
Essential Functions

Setup, install, adjust, and maintain production equipment including conveyors, automation, pneumatics, hydraulics, pumps, encoders, variable frequency drives, etc.

Equipment Maintenance - Perform routine, predictive, and preventative maintenance on equipment and determine when and what kind of maintenance is needed. Inspect regularly and as needed to ensure proper operation.

Complex Problem Solving - Identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options. Implement effective solutions.

Operation Monitoring - Watch gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly with maximum efficiency and effectiveness.

Operation and Control - Control operation of equipment or systems

High and low voltage electrical troubleshooting

PLC troubleshooting
-
Welding, fabrication, etc.

Participate in plant safety, health, and environmental programs
-
Completes training by supervisor.

Complies with all safety and company policies and procedures.

Performs other related duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Design – effective knowledge of design techniques, tools and principles involved in the production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models

Mechanical – effective knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance

Education and Experience
-
High School diploma or equivalent. 2 Year technical degree (preferred).

Certifications are not required, although they can be useful as a means of demonstrating ability to handle the rigors of the job effectively.

Electrical wiring capabilities to manage problems with the plant’s machinery.
-
2+ year's maintenance experience in a manufacturing capacity.

Demonstrable computer abilities, Windows (Word and Excel), Internet and email, and other, relevant applications
-
Demonstrable Advanced Analytical/Troubleshooting Skills including PLC, Electrical, Mechanical and other related systems including PLC programming, shop tools, and equipment.
Physical Requirements
-
Ability to work up to 12 hours per day. Hours, days, and shifts depend on the season and production schedule and are not guaranteed.

Ability sit, stand, walk, bend, climb stairs, crouch, lean, reach, twist, and other physical movements for extended periods.

Ability to work in conditions typical of a manufacturing environment as indicated below under “Working Environment”.

Ability to wear prescribed personal protective equipment and appropriate clothing.
-
Ability to lift 50 lbs.

Ability to read, write, type, and verbally communicate fluently in English.

Must be able to effectively use a computer, monitor, keyboard, mouse, and commonly used software to complete necessary functions assigned.

Must have finger dexterity, visual acuity, discernment of sounds, color, and texture.

Must be able to use tools, equipment, machinery, etc.
-
Must be reliable and dependable.

Must have the physical and mental ability to drive a standard forklift successfully. AWIP will certify.
Working Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts, dusty conditions, high noise environments, chemicals used in the process, and extreme temperatures. The facility is an industrial manufacturing plant.
This position is designated safety sensitive.
