Position Summary: As a Continuous Improvement Manager supporting three manufacturing plants, you will lead the development and implementation of initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness. Your role involves identifying areas for improvement, driving process optimization, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement across the organization, ultimately contributing to increased productivity and quality.

Essential Functions:

  • Develop and execute continuous improvement strategies to optimize manufacturing processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize improvement opportunities.
  • Implement Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to drive operational excellence.
  • Conduct regular process audits to ensure adherence to quality standards and identify areas for improvement.
  • Lead and facilitate Kaizen events to drive rapid improvements in operational performance.
  • Provide training and mentorship to plant teams on continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Analyze data and performance metrics to measure the success of improvement initiatives.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and monitor progress toward goals.
  • Drive a culture of problem-solving and innovation within the manufacturing plants.
  • Collaborate with leadership to align continuous improvement efforts with overall business objectives.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or related field.
  • Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or equivalent certification.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in continuous improvement roles.
  • Proven track record of successful implementation of improvement initiatives.
  • Experience in managing continuous improvement projects in a manufacturing environment.

Physical Requirements  

  • Ability to work up to 12-hour shifts, on assigned shift.   
  • Ability to sit, walk, and stand for extended periods. Must be able to bend, lift, twist, reach, grasp, and other physical movements indicative or required to perform the essential functions.  
  • Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment with extreme temperatures and humidity, exposure to fumes, dust, chemicals, and other conditions typical of a manufacturing environment. 
  • Must be able to effectively use a computer, peripheral equipment, and printers, and have advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite.  
  • Must be able to effectively use tools, equipment, machinery, etc.  
  • Ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs. occasionally and 25 lbs frequently.  
  • Ability to read, write, type, and verbally communicate fluently in English.  
  • Must be reliable and dependable.  

 Working Environment 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts, dusty conditions, high noise environments, chemicals used in the process, and extreme temperatures. The facility is an industrial manufacturing plant. This position is designated safety sensitive.
