Position Summary: We are looking for an individual with proven experience in project management, the successful candidate will play a crucial role in leading and overseeing manufacturing projects from design to completion, ensuring they are executed efficiently, on time, and within budget.

Essential Functions:

• Effectively manage engineering projects from conception, design phase, installation, commissioning, and trials whilst managing multi-discipline teams is essential.

 • Lead and initiate process improvement and efficiency improvement modifications to our manufacturing lines.

• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve project goals.

• Complete engineering projects/tasks delegated to the candidate by the Divisional Engineering Manager.

• Travelling to other manufacturing facilities within our business group to manage divisional projects.

• Visit machine manufacturing vendors to carry out FAT and verification tests, while building valuable relationships.

• Investigate alternative technologies and evaluate their usefulness within our industry.

• Manage and support site teams with both minor and major projects on our manufacturing lines.

• Develop engineering design and project plans in accordance with our divisional standards.

 • Advise and support improvement initiatives where appropriate.

 • Help develop a core team to help support the business and attend training to increase self-knowledge and technical skills.

• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and Health, Safety and Environmental standards.

• Monitor and report project progress, keeping stakeholders updated of key milestones and developments.

• Be a key support mechanism and technical advisor for the site maintenance teams, helping their goals to be proactive in implementing solutions for reoccurring machine process faults.

Knowledge, Skill, and Ability:

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the manufacturing industry.

• Thorough working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point or other company software)

• Excellent interpersonal skills.

• Working experience in the development of major project schedules using industry specific software (Ideally Microsoft Project).

• Very hands on with excellent organizational, planning and time management skills.

• Ability to use judgment and make decisions in ambiguous and complex situations.

 • Experience in LEAN manufacturing and/or Six Sigma.

• Excellent spelling, grammar, and written communication skills.

• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.

Education and Experience:

• Significant and demonstrated experience in mechanical engineering.

• Demonstrated experience managing manufacturing engineering projects through full life cycle.

 • Ability to read, analyze, interpret, and generate 2D & 3D engineering drawings (AutoCAD & SolidWorks).

 Physical Requirements:

Working Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts, dusty conditions, high noise environments, chemicals used in the process, and extreme temperatures. The facility is an industrial manufacturing plant.

Salary Range: $90,000 - $120,000 based on experience.
