Accurately count, stage, and safely load a quality bundle on up to 60’ flatbed trucks for delivery to jobsites. 

Essential Functions 

Transport all bundles that have been produced for 48 hours, and have been inspected outside and stage in shipping yard until loaded on a truck. 

While transporting outside, highlight each bundle on Shipping BOM’s, to ensure accuracy of production. 

Inspect from forklift each bundle being carried for noticeable damage, and report to Shipping Manager if there is any damage. 

Place bundles in shipping yard safely and without damage according to load dates, length & SOA numbers (In cold weather, make sure bundles are free and clear of ice before stacking on each other). 

Place bundles on the trailer to ensure a safe and quality ride to the jobsite, according to the load sheet.  

Strapping and tarping instructions paper will be given to the driver when signing in and will have the load sheet attached so that the loader will know which bundles to load. 

Each bundle should be placed on the trailer with the bundle tag visible to the loader, except in cases where the bundle is too long to maneuver safely. 

When the truck is loaded, tarps should be placed on top of bundles for the driver to tarp,  

Perform tarping station duties as assigned, including placing tarps on loaded trucks and other related duties. 

Completes training by supervisor. 

Complies with all safety and company policies and procedures. 

Performs other related duties as assigned. 

Physical Requirements  

Ability to work approx. 8 hour per day, Monday-Saturday, with ability to work overtime up to 12 hours per day as well as some Sundays as needed. Hours and shifts depend on season and shipping schedule, and shifts are not guaranteed.   

Ability to sit, walk, and stand for extended periods. Must be able to bend, lift, twist, reach, grasp, and other physical movements.  

Ability to work in a non-climate controlled environment with extreme temperatures and humidity, with some outdoor exposure.  

Ability to operate a handcart, pallet jack, pallet wrapper, etc. using hand, foot, and body movements effectively.  

Must have the physical and mental ability, including spatial awareness to drive standard forklift types successfully.   

Must have the physical and mental ability, including omnidirectional spatial awareness and capability, to drive a CombiLift successfully.  

 Ability to climb ladders to ascend approximately 16 feet above ground level to the top of loaded trucks.  

Ability to walk or move along the top of a loaded truck to spread tarps while wearing a safety harness attached to an overhead retractable safety lanyard.  

Ability to lift 50 lbs.  

Ability to read, write, type, and verbally communicate fluently in English.  

Must be reliable and dependable.  

Must be able to use tools, equipment, vehicles, general office equipment, etc.
