Provide support for department functions with specific responsibility for performing activities related to the accurate processing of authorized invoices; recording, updating and reconciling related financial information; and providing instructions and/or accounting support to other personnel in accordance with established practices.
Essential Functions

Reconcile BOL's and process invoices to customers

Create credit memos as required.

Answer customer questions regarding problems with their accounts or company projects.

Locate and notify customers of delinquent accounts by mail and telephone to solicit payment.

Confer with customers by telephone or in person to determine reasons for overdue payments and to review the terms of sales, service, or credit contracts.

Monitors account balances and related financial activity for the purpose of ensuring that allocations are accurate and complying with established financial practices.

Participates in meetings, in-service training, workshops, etc. for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information required to perform job functions.

Performs pre-audits of all invoices for the purpose of ensuring accuracy and appropriateness prior to payment in compliance with district and state rules, guidelines and statutes.

Processes financial information for the purpose of updating and distributing information, authorizing for action and/or complying with established accounting practices.

Receives classifies and receipts money for the purpose of recording financial transactions.

Reconciles financial data for the purpose of maintaining accurate account balances and ensuring compliance with established accounting practices.

Research discrepancies of financial information and/or documentation for the purpose of ensuring accuracy and adhering to established procedures prior to processing.

Assists auditors for the purpose of providing support and documentation on internal processes for accounts payable and receivable.

Assist on month-end activities

Create financial reports following the financial reporting schedule.

Education and Experience
-
Minimum of two years of experience working in a previous accounting role. This could be as an Accounting Clerk, Bookkeeper or as an Accounting Technician.

Experience working in an office is also essential.

Minimum of high school diploma with a preference to have an Associate's Degree.

Experience: At least three years of experience in corporate collections required.

Knowledge of Quickbooks, although not required.
-
Excellent organizational and communications skills required, as well as outstanding customer service skills and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment is required.

Special Skills Required: Proficiency in basic math and accounting skills.

Experience of working in a high volume, fast paced environment.

Must have intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Effectively use a computer, monitor, keyboard, mouse, as well as commonly used equipment and software to complete necessary functions.

Finger dexterity, visual acuity, discernment of sounds, color, and texture.

Must be able to use tools, equipment, machinery, etc.

Must be reliable and dependable.

Must have the physical and mental ability to drive a standard forklift successfully. AWIP will certify.

Must have omnidirectional spatial awareness necessary to operate CombiLift forklift.

Ability to travel by automobile, airplane, and other modes of economy class public transportation are required.
Working Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts, dusty conditions, high noise environments, chemicals used in the process, and extreme temperatures. The facility is an industrial manufacturing plant.
