Position Summary
As a Systems Analyst at All Weather Insulated Panels (AWIP), you will play a pivotal role in driving digital transformation across the organization. Initially focused on the implementation and management of our Product Information Management (PIM) system, this role will evolve to support broader initiatives across enterprise-level systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data integrity, system optimization, and the successful rollout of digital tools that enhance operational efficiency and innovation. Additionally, you will function as a project manager for all digital initiatives, coordinating stakeholders, timelines, and deliverables to ensure successful execution and alignment with strategic goals.
The position will serve also as a liaison between users and developers, setting and communicating goals, and evaluating and refining results. This role requires an experienced analyst who can partner effectively with all levels of the organization, lead others, drive results, proactively identify and resolve problems, and make challenging decisions.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Product Information Management (PIM) – Short Term
- Lead the design, configuration, and ongoing management of the PIM system.
- Act as the administrator for all PIM-related activities, including user setup, permissions management, and system configuration.
- Coordinate data migration, validation, and import processes across development, QA, and production environments.
- Manage manufactured product spreadsheets that serve as the foundation for PIM data.
- Conduct unit testing and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Collaborate with global product management teams to maintain content quality and system enhancements.
- Liaise with internal SMEs to validate and correct product data, resolve gaps, and align system functionality with divisional needs.
- Deliver training and onboarding for individual users and departments, including preparation of training materials and follow-up sessions.
- Manage help desk/ticketing for PIM-related issues, coordinating change requests and system enhancements tailored to AWIP’s needs.
- Work with third-party vendors (e.g., STIBO) to define and implement requirements and support ongoing developments.
- Maintain both QA and Production environments, including communication of updates and changes.
- Support loading digital assets to the system and managing updates to product data and marketing content.
- Ensure ongoing compliance with AWIP’s Product Compliance Policy.
- Develop and prepare effective data and system reporting.
- Ensure integration and alignment between PIM and other enterprise systems (e.g., SAP).
- Expand PIM coverage to include assembled products, accessories, and other product categories.
- Collaborate with departments such as Sustainability, Marketing, and Manufacturing to support evolving data needs.
Business Systems Analysis – Long Term
- Understand and document current business processes and work closely with SAP S/4 HANA project team to ensure those processes are integrated as part project implementation
- Analyze existing SAP S/4 HANA blueprint and work with business to identify any process gaps
- Where gaps exist, work with business to evaluate, improve and standardize processes to ensure smooth transition to new system
- Evaluate business requirements and provide functional and technical expertise to formulate recommendations and solutions to meet and exceed business needs
- Collaborate with business staff to thoroughly understand the needs to be supported by all information systems and technology used within the business
- Provide recommendations regarding the evolution of business systems
- Develop and communicate detailed specifications for implementation
- Create and present reports to stakeholders to support recommendations
- Prepare and perform user testing and acceptance documentations
- Conduct training sessions based on system documentations and specifications
- Assist in preparing the business continuity plan (BCP) for applications
- Properly documents all processes for users (SOP’s)
- Perform other duties as assigned
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in system management, data analysis, or digital transformation roles preferably working within a manufacturing environment
- Experience with PIM systems and digital construction platforms is highly preferred.
- Experience working with an ERP system such as SAP - preferred
- Experience working with Microsoft Power Platform (PowerApps/Flow/BI) – preferred
- Advanced Excel and Access skills; experience with BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Qlik)
- Practical experience in one or more programming languages (Java, JavaScript, .NET, PHP etc.) which support SOAP/REST
- Technical understanding of SOAP and REST Web Services technologies; as well as common industry standards, protocols and technologies, such as XML, JSON and HTTP
Skills & Specialized Knowledge
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Proficiency in data validation, modeling, and cleansing techniques
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical teams
- Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to evolving priorities
- Knowledge of insulated panels or construction products is a plus
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work the core hours of 8am- 5pm Monday through Friday with ability to work overtime and weekends as needed.
- Finger dexterity, visual acuity, color and texture discernment.
- Ability to regularly work in conditions typical of an office environment, and occasionally work in conditions typical of a manufacturing environment, including noise, extreme temperatures and humidity, odors, dust, etc.
- Ability to wear prescribed personal protective equipment and appropriate clothing.
- Ability to read, write, and verbally communicate fluently in English.
- Ability to effectively use a telephone, computer, monitor, keyboard, mouse, and common office equipment and machinery.
- Ability to interact effectively and with clients, contractors, employees, and other individuals.
- Ability to function effectively with moderate to high levels of stress in a demanding and dynamic environment.
- Must be able to concentrate for extended periods of time and consistently produce accurate work product, organized thoughts, and execute sound judgment.
- Must be reliable and dependable.
- Ability to lift 25 lbs.
- Ability to work remotely as required by management.
Working Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts, dusty conditions, high noise environments, chemicals used in the process, and extreme temperatures. The facility is an industrial manufacturing plant.
