Position Summary

Responsible for overseeing AWIP’s Low Slope Roofing Strategy and driving sales of OneDek® through the organization’s sales team.

 

OneDek® Insulated Roof Deck System is an alternative to traditional multi-layer, low-slope roofing systems. OneDek insulated roof deck system includes just 2 components to complete the roof: an insulated roof deck panel and a PVC or TPO membrane. OneDek simplifies the design, procurement, and installation of a low-slope roof system by eliminating traditional components such as steel deck, vapor barrier, multiple layers of board insulation, and cover boards.

 

Essential Functions

  • Develop and own all aspects related to AWIP’s Low Slope Roofing Strategy with the emphasis on rapidly increasing sales of OneDek.
  • Coordinate with Product Development and Engineering on top priorities for new products, capabilities, and required testing.  Manage the implementation of new features.
  • Manage relationships with strategic partners, including suppliers, inter-company sales, and high-profile customers.
  • Actively track and assist in the acquisition of new OneDek customers with the National Sales Team.
  • Own the quoting pipeline of all OneDek projects and remove roadblocks for the National Sales Team.
  • Coordinate all OneDek trade show and industry meeting efforts.
  • Work with VP Sales and Marketing Manager to ensure the proper advertising and promotion of AWIP products in the Low Slope Roof market.
  • Collaborate with Marketing on OneDek case studies.
  • Be a subject matter expert on all products that AWIP manufactures and distributes.  Additionally, be an expert and go-to source for knowledge in the Low Slope Roof market.
  • Maintain professionalism and expertise during face-to-face visits, customer service efforts, and phone and e-mail conversations.
  • Visit customer job sites to support OneDek sales and customer service activities.  Use discretion to coordinate with AWIP outside sales and/or AWIP field services as necessary to handle customer visits.  
  • Prepare and deliver product presentations to consultants, developers, contractors, architects, and engineers.
  • Reading construction blueprints, drawings, plans, and specifications and prepare estimates.
  • Creating detailed jobsite visit reports including pictures, description of products being installed, job site environment and report current or possible future issues with the products.
  • Plan, prioritize and organize travel nationally to facilitate OneDek sales support and customer service.
  • Prepare monthly reports for VP sales to include top opportunities, opportunity pipeline, top accounts, YTD performance, to plan and market updates.
  • Prepare annual sales & marketing plans.
  • Member of the Senior Manager Team, attends quarterly Senior Manager Meetings.
  • Implement/utilize digital technology as required to support sales efforts (Salesforce, SAP, PowerBi, etc.)
  • Perform other job duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

  • Education: Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent sale/industry experience.
  • 5 years’ experience in promotion of a low-slope roofing product.
  • Professional and polished presentation skills.
  • Experience in reading construction drawings and specifications.  Demonstrated aptitude will be considered in lieu of experience.
  • Computer proficiency including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.

 

Additional Qualifications

  • Must possess credit worthiness and a major credit card with a sufficient limit in order to maintain monthly travel expenses until reimbursed by the company.

 

Physical Requirements

  • Visual acuity and ability to discern color and texture.
  • Ability to use a computer, keyboard, and presentation media effectively.
  • Ability to stand, sit, walk, and reach with arms and hands.
  • Ability to lift approximately 25 pounds.

  • Frequent travel by automobile, airplane, and other modes of public transportation are required.

 

Working Environment

  • This position operates from both a professional office environment and a home office environment.
  • Meetings with customers will take place in offices, on construction jobsites and in public environments such as coffee shops and restaurants.
  • Electronic communication will take place on a company provided laptop via e-mail and other internet forms of communication.
  • Primary phone contact will be made by company provided mobile phone.

 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts, dusty conditions, high noise environments, chemicals used in the process, and extreme temperatures. The facility is an industrial manufacturing plant.
