Position Summary
To receive, verify, unload, check in, and store incoming freight materials in an efficient manner. Communicate with various departments as prudent and required.
Essential Functions
- Monitor stock levels of standard products.
- Conduct monthly inventories of all stock items.
- Perform cycle counts twice per week (Monday & Thursday) and report findings to Purchasing Dept.
- Assist Shipping Department with order fulfillment.
- Report shortages/excesses to Shipping Dept. via email.
- Execute inventory functions at month-end: ensure accuracy on count sheets.
- Ensure warehouse is organized according to proposed layout.
- Invoices and receives paperwork daily for all product received to Purchasing Dept. to facilitate vendor payments.
- Ensure all stocking areas are clean and organized daily (Accessories and Packaging Areas)
- Update Purchasing Dept. on new locations of product.
- Update BOM (Bill of Material) with notes: “In stock / Short / Purchasing to Order”.
- Follow all safety regulations, procedures, guidelines, and instructions.
- Multitask and effectively handle stress and changing priorities in a fast paced environment while maintaining a positive team oriented attitude.
- Use a Windows based computer, Microsoft Office software, email, and other commonly used business software with proficiency.
- Perform tarping station duties as assigned, including placing tarps on loaded trucks and other related duties.
- Completes training by supervisor.
- Complies with all safety and company policies and procedures.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Preferable forklift trained.
- 1+ year of warehouse experience.
- Must be willing to learn to operate material handling equipment including a forklift.
- Previous experience in inventory software and order processing systems preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel required.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work approx. 8 hour per day, Monday-Saturday, with ability to work overtime up to 12 hours per day as well as some Sundays as needed. Hours and shifts depend on season and shipping schedule, and shifts are not guaranteed.
- Ability to sit, walk, and stand for extended periods. Must be able to bend, lift, twist, reach, grasp, and other physical movements.
- Ability to work in a non-climate controlled environment with extreme temperatures and humidity, with some outdoor exposure.
- Ability to operate a handcart, pallet jack, pallet wrapper, etc. using hand, foot, and body movements effectively.
- Must have the physical and mental ability, including spatial awareness to drive standard forklift types successfully.
- Must have the physical and mental ability, including omnidirectional spatial awareness and capability, to drive a CombiLift successfully.
- Ability to climb ladders to ascend approximately 16 feet above ground level to the top of loaded trucks.
- Ability to walk or move along the top of a loaded truck to spread tarps while wearing a safety harness attached to an overhead retractable safety lanyard.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Ability to read, write, type, and verbally communicate fluently in English.
- Must be reliable and dependable.
- Must be able to use tools, equipment, vehicles, general office equipment, etc.
Working Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts, dusty conditions, high noise environments, chemicals used in the process, and extreme temperatures. The facility is an industrial manufacturing plant.
