Position Summary 

The Inside Sales Representative is a primary source of sales service for All Weather Insulated Panels territory managers, contractors, installers, architects, engineers, and general contractors. The overall goal of this position is to increase sales effectiveness, customer relationships, and market penetration within the insulated metal panel market. 

Essential Functions 

  • Employ a “customer first” attitude in all aspects of employment at All Weather Insulated Panels. 
  • Develop long-term relationships with AWIP current and new customers. 
  • Support individual territory managers when said managers are unavailable. 
  • Gain and maintain knowledge in cold storage and commercial Industrial insulated metal panel applications including general product knowledge, details, and shop drawings to assist in project sales and order intake. 
  • Provide backup support for territory managers, technical, customer service and AWIP management.
  • Multi-task between projects, takeoffs, phone, & email correspondence, and project scheduling as needed. 
  • Work with the AWIP sales, customer service, technical, drafting, production, shipping, and management teams to achieve our AWIP company goals yearly
  • Maintain quality results by following AWIP standard policies and procedures.
  • Quote and enter into SAP all make-up and small parts orders for customers. Track ship dates for these orders and communicate directly with customers.
  • Assist TMs with the preparation of cut-list quotes and SOT’s. 
  • Process sample and literature requests for TM’s and customers. 
  • Work with PM’s and TMs to assist with warranty claims. Enter all replacement material orders and communicate status with customers and TM’s. 
  • Coordinate install training requests with TM’s, customers, and Field Services 
  • Coordinate WTW requests between customers and Field Services 
  • As required, support and follow-up on submission of Project Information Forms with the customer.
  • Coordinate with PMs & act as an additional point of contact for customer orders for production & ship dates. 
  • Demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold all safety practices, and housekeeping standards. 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • A strong commitment to safety in all job aspects 
  • Technical associate degree or bachelor’s degree in business, project management, construction, or engineering-related fields or equivalent experience in these areas of the business. 
  • Training and presentation experience and comfortability in one-on-one and large group settings 
  • Ability to interpret architectural plans and specifications in the development of scope and pricing proposals. 
  • A strong math background, technical aptitude, and experience using computer applications as well as the ability to identify, define and execute sales strategies. 
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment. 
  • Have and keep a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance. 
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs i.e., Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. 
  • Highly motivated, competitive, and a positive “customer first” driven attitude 

Physical Requirements  

  • Ability to interact effectively with employees and other individuals. 
  • Ability to function effectively with moderate to high levels of stress in a demanding and dynamic environment. 
  • Able to wear prescribed personal protective equipment and appropriate clothing. 
  • Lift up to 50 lbs. 
  • Effectively read, write, speak, and communicate in English fluently. 
  • Ability to sit and stand for extended periods. Ability to walk, bend, climb, crouch, lean, reach, and other physical movements as required to effectively and efficiently perform duties. 
  • Work in conditions typical of a manufacturing environment, including noise, extreme temperatures and humidity, odors, dust, etc. 
  • Effectively use a computer, monitor, keyboard, and mouse, as well as commonly used equipment and software to complete necessary functions.
  • Finger dexterity, visual acuity, discernment of sounds, color, and texture. 

Working Environment 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts, dusty conditions, high-noise environments, chemicals used in the process, and extreme temperatures. The facility is an industrial manufacturing plant.
