Administrative Support Officer 

 

Background: United States Army Chaplain Corps builds Army spiritual readiness to deploy, fight, and win our Nation's wars, by providing reliable and relevant world-class religious support, as a unique element of the Army that is fully engaged across the full spectrum of conflict. The Office of the Chief of Chaplains, (OCCH) provides religious services and support to the command as an instrument of the U.S. Government to ensure that Soldiers’ religious "free exercise" statutory rights are protected. This job requires technical, analytical, educational, and administrative services in support of emerging information management requirements for the OCCH and supporting directorates.

 

Requirements:

  • Be proficient in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Power BI, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Visio, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Access, Adobe Acrobat and Internet Explorer.
  • Five years supporting executive senior level administrative requirements.
  • Secret Security Clearance
  • Must be able to attend in-person meetings in the National Capital Region (NCR)

 

Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. Work experience is not a replacement for a completed bachelor’s degree.

 

Duties:

  • Prepare project-related correspondence to facilitate client and project staff communication (e.g., notices, memorandums).
  • Coordinate all aspects of group meetings to include managing logistics, providing on-site administrative support and keeping minutes.
  • Create and design presentation formats using advanced graphics.
  • Maintain project records and acting as custodian of project documents and records (e.g., file of deliverable, project reporting records).
  • Perform other administrative services (e.g., reception services, editing, filing, schedule maintenance, data entry).
  • Proofread, edit, and format documents including fonts, margins, and style.
  • Create graphics, produces hard copies for publication.
  • Formats documents to prescribed OCCH specifications including font, margins, style, and other document formatting.
  • Maintain calendar for select organization leadership.
  • Create and maintain travel arrangements for select organizational leadership including direct coordination with travel service providers and the Defense Travel System (DTS).
