Help Desk Senior System Administrator
Job Description:
The position is for onsite IT help desk support of the Directorate of Public Works (DPW) at Joint Base Lewis-McChord (JBLM) and Yakima Training Center, Yakima, WA. The position will support the daily operations of JBLM DPW IT infrastructure and the users of the systems.
Duties include, but not limited to:
- Desktop support
- Printer and Scanners Support
- Servers Support
- Mobile Device Support
- Industrial Controls Systems Support
- Respond and resolve help desk tickets
- Install and support Government furnished software and hardware
- Provide IAVA/STIG compliance for all supported laptops and desktops and printers
- Analyze system failures and reporting
- Analyze new hardware performance and issues
- User Management
- License Management
- Lifecycle Management
- Troubleshooting equipment
- Managing physical maintenance including warranty support
Qualifications:
- US Citizenship Required
- Active Secret Clearance
- 5 or more years’ experience with servers and workstations leading in a large, complex help desk/system administration function.
- IAT Level II Baseline Certification and Computing Environment required (CompTIA Security+ or equivalent as specified in DoD 8140.03M)
- Proficient in oral and written communications.
