20th CBRNE Network Technician (APG, Maryland)

 

Job Description:

Network Technician provides sustainment, troubleshooting, and maintenance support for Local Area Network (LAN), and Wide Area Network (WAN) computer communications within 20th CBRNE Main Command Post, Operational Command Post and the WMD Coordination Team (WCT) during Mission and exercise deployments. The goal is to ensure the smooth operation of LAN and WAN communication networks in order to provide maximum performance and availability for their users within 20th CBRNE.

Network Engineer Support includes, but not limited to:

  • Server, router, and other network device maintenance and sustainment
  • Management of a network consisting of tactical and coalition assets for a base of 150 users
  • Manage network performance and availability
  • Troubleshoot network outages and degradation issues
  • Work with an IT Support team to deliver a reliable network to the 20th CBRNE
  • Management of estimated two ISE servers, one call manger, three routers, and 45 switches.

 

Qualifications:

  • US Citizenship Required
  • Active Secret Clearance
  • DoD 8140.01 IAT Level II Baseline Certification Required (Security+ or equivalent as specified in DoD 8140.01)
  • DoD 8140.01 Computing Environment Certified Windows Server, Microsoft SQL
  • Must have Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification
  • One (1) or more years in Cisco Identity Services Engine (ICE)
