Position Summary

 

Summit Technologies is looking for a Technical Publications Specialist to work out of our Hill Air Force Base location.  The position supports our Mission Planning Software contract.  Teleworking is extremely limited to non-existent due to on-site requirements. The opportunity is challenging with great growth potential.

 


Responsibilities

 The successful candidate will have superb attention to detail and an incredible appetite to learn a challenging, but rewarding career that supports our military.  The ideal candidate enjoys troubleshooting, creating solutions to issues, and writing instructional documentation. With solid communication skills, the Technical Publication Specialist coordinates with internal and external teams regarding Mission Planning software installation and technical documentation. The position also post documentation for testing milestones and works closely with the Configuration Management team for software shipments.


 Skills/Experience


·         Secret Clearance -willing to sponsor a clearance for the right applicant.

·         Requires excellent organizational skills and acute attention to detail.

·         Requires high aptitude to learn computer hardware and software. 

·         Requires basic skills in MS Office. MS Access and advanced office a plus.

·         Knowledge of USAF Technical Orders (TO’s) and Time Compliance Technical Orders (TCTO’s) preferred.  

·         Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.

·         Experience in handling classified materials a plus.

·         Excellent writing and communication skills.

·         Experience with Adobe Frame Maker and Adobe Illustrator preferred.

·         Comfortable navigating through computer hardware and installing software.

·         Understanding of hardware configuration is a plus.
