Operations Specialist II - Defense Security Cooperation University (DSCU) Ministry of Defense Advisors (MoDA)

Summit Technologies, Inc. is looking for a qualified Operations Specialist II to provide training management support for the Defense Security Cooperation Agency’s (DSCA). DSCU advisor training prepares U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) civilians and military personnel to help foreign partners improve defense capabilities, including personnel and readiness, logistics and sustainment, acquisition and procurement, strategy and policy, and financial management. 

Place of Performance: Camp Atterbury and the Muscatatuck Urban Training Center (MUTC), Indiana, or other locations identified in individual task orders. These locations include CONUS and OCONUS (Alaska and Hawaii) US military facilities. 

Operations Specialist II provides direct administrative and logistical support to students, alumni, and government faculty during pre-training preparations, training, and post-training travel and reviews.   

This position shall meet the minimum qualifications:  

  • Proven experience in working in operations to include business, training or international (at least 3+ years) 

  • Project management and leadership experience 

  • Ability to analyze and improve operational process 

  • Strong people management and organizational skills 

  • Good social and presentation skills 

 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills 

  • High self-initiative with the ability to work well under pressure 

  • Able to work effectively with minimal supervision 

  • Knowledge of handling general office equipment 

  • Proficient in technology especially Microsoft Office applications 

 
  • Master’s Degree in Human Resources, Education/Training, Program Management  

  • Familiarity with training management programs 

 

Preferred Qualifications for the Operations Specialist (II) include:  

  • Master’s degree in operation, business management, international relations, or other related discipline 

  • Five plus (5+) years in related work experience  

 
  • Experience working with the government 

  • Training and certification in executive/leadership coaching
