Audio/Video (A/V) Technician 

 

Job Description:

A/V Technician will provide service to the GSA Headquarters in Washington, DC. The technician provides service and maintenance for the existing Audio/Video (A/V) equipment in several different sized rooms. The A/V support is for a variety of rooms to include: small and medium conference rooms, training rooms, and large conference centers. The Technician will provide support within the core hours of 7am-6pm, Eastern Standard Time, Monday through Friday, excluding all Federal Holidays. The technician will also provide support after the core business hours should the conference rooms, training rooms, and conference centers not be available during the core business hours due to government use. These after core business hours may include early mornings (prior to 7am), evenings (after 6pm), weekends, or government holidays.

Service and maintenance support shall include the following:

·       Contractor shall upgrade firmware and software installation/upgrade services as necessary.

·       Provide business day (7am - 6pm) technical support for faulty and defective system operations assistance

·       Provide adjustments and replacement of faulty or failed equipment (leveraging existing warranties when applicable)

·       Perform maintenance on all A/V equipment as per manufacturer’s specifications as requested

·       Lubricate moving parts as needed according to manufacturer’s specifications

·       Test all control functionality on all systems, floor boxes, and interconnected cabling. Test results are to be provided to GSA technical personnel. Any anomalies are to be remediated expeditiously.

·       Provide GSA a recommendation for replacement of any equipment that is found to be defective.

·       Remediate broken or malfunctioning A/V systems

·       Provide programming and code updates as needed.

 

Qualifications:

·       US Citizenship Required

·       Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) Clearance required, as minimum

·       Associates Degree and One (1) or more years related experience.

·       If no Associates Degree, then three (3) or more years related experience.
