Senior Military Analyst- CIED and Explosive Hazards

 

Performs duties as a Senior Military Analyst (SMA) and Subject Matter Expert (SME). The SMA will review, conduct research, analyze, provide supporting documents, make recommendations, and provide written assessments on Counter-Improvised Explosive Device (C-IED) Materiel/ Explosive Hazards (EH) and Non-Materiel Processes, Concepts, and Strategies, C-IED/ EH related documents, C-IED/ EH doctrine, and participation in select C-IED/ EH working groups and other forums.

Education - Bachelor's Degree

Experience -

  • 3 years as a supervisor
  • 12 years military operations, doctrine, concepts, materiel acquisition, force development experience
  • 8 of the 12 year experience in doctrinal design and development, capability development, military transformation in one of the following specialized areas: Electronic Warfare, Explosive Ordnance Disposal, Intelligence, Engineer, Operations Research/Systems Analysis; Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear (CBRN)
  • SME experience is required in at least one of the following areas:
  • C-IED/ EH concepts and strategies o C-IED / EH capability review and analysis

o Doctrine. Organization, Training. Materiel, Leadership and Education, Personnel, and Facilities (DOTMLPF) assessments and solutions o C-IED/ EH Concept of Operations (CONOPS) o Concept of Employment (CONEMP)

o Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTP) analysis

Knowledge -

  • Technical understanding of C-IED/ EH ongoing related research, development, test and evaluation activities
  • Ability to independently organize and conduct research and analysis at the task level
  • Ability to perform technical document preparation utilizing Microsoft® Office suite
