Job Summary

Support the Fires Battle Lab (FBL) in performing Army and Joint directed experimentation, demonstrations, analysis and supporting Institutional training.

Background

Support the FBL conducting current and future force concept and live prototype assessments experiments, new technology demonstrations, and Cooperative Research and Development Agreements (CRADA) events to gain insights to emerging and evolving concepts, technology and materiel initiatives to provide informed, recommended changes to Doctrine, Organizations, Training, Material, Leadership and Education, Personnel and Facilities and Policy (DOTMLPF-P). Key to success in this effort is the continued assessment and development of Future Fires capabilities such as directed energy (high energy laser, high power microwaves, etc.), plasma and electrodynamic kinetic energy weapons’ (i.e. railgun, electro-thermal gun, etc.) technologies used to destroy, degrade, deny or disrupt a threat's capability.

 

Requirements

·        Be a US citizen.

·        Possess and maintain and active SECRET clearance.

·        Possess one or more of the following:

o   Master’s degree or higher.

o   Bachelor’s degree in mathematics

o   Minimum of 24 semester hours in a combination of operations research, mathematics, probability, statistics, mathematical logic, science and Operations Research and Systems Analysis Military Applications Course (ORSA-MAC) completion at time of award. A year of industrial and engineering experience may be substituted for the ORSA/MAC requirement.

Job Details

·        Develop an experimentation and analysis plan for each experiment.

·        Provide an Industrial completion at time of award.

·        Develop a study plan for each experiment.

·        Develop a data collection master plan for each experiment.

·        Develop data collector training for each experiment.

·        Develop surveys/questionnaires for each experiment.

·        Develop an emerging insights brief for each experiment.

·        Develop an initial insights report and brief for each experiment.

·        Develop and publish a final report for each experiment.

·        Design experiments, to include data collection methodology.

·        Assist in the development of learning demands and study issues for each experiment.

·        Provide Fires input to develop insights and analytical determinations of the associated efforts of other Battle Labs as the work of parallel experimentation efforts.

·        Present briefings to organizations associated with experimentation.

·        Attend conferences and meetings involving current and future warfighting concepts and weapons.

·        Attend Experiment planning meetings - STE, IPC, MPC, FPC, and working groups.

·        Fill out SCRs prior to an experiment. Follow up with PTR, data output requirements, and to correct problems/ trouble associated with simulations once identified.

·        Provide a format and the government shall take input and prioritize these changes with all other SCRs and PTRs.

·        Attain a military driver’s license.

·        Become RSO certified within 90 days of contract award, maintain RSO certification, and obtain a CLS certification.

Develop a Dendrite-Objectives/learning demands EEA’s for each experiment.
